My first dog was a small terrier, named ceasar. I would yell "Come wrestle me ceasar". Ceasar would jump up on my belly and start licking my face and tug of war on my clothes. I would laugh till I cried..... My Second dog was a named Peanut a chihuahua. Peanut was the best judge of character. Grumpy mean people better not stand still because Peanut would walk up and hiest his leg and pee on people who did not love dogs or was not nice people. So if Peanuts pee's on you your no good.

The earliest one I can remember being interested in was a garden snake I found injured on the road. I must have been 7-8. I looked at it for a while writhing and wanted to move him out of the road before he got hit. When I picked him up he bit me on my thumb and I flung it in the ditch. That set an interesting precedent with me and critters. You have to remember they are critters.

I always wanted a cat. We had a dog for a while but it was my brothers.

Once I went to my friends house and she had a two storyhouse. Along the stairs there was a ledge where the mom kept plans but it was dangerous and impossible to walk there. The cats used to walk around there and nap there all the time. I thought that was really cool.

my first animal was the beetle, an African precisely Ghanaian, and in our part of the country children have a way of playing with beetles, children tie thread around the beetles wings that's at the part where the wings connect to the body, we then leave them to fly whilst holding the thread. it was so exacting and interesting because the thread actually determines how far it can go, it was so fun.

Seals. I remember being very young, and my parents got me these nice plush seal toys. I had a Beanie Baby seal (named Seymore) and one that when its tail was pulled, played a song. That last toy I think really made me like seals. It had a colorful hat and played such a happy song! It was really my toys and my books that got me interested in animals, and seals were my favorites because they seemed so cuddly and nice, not ferocious or mean.
I hope this helps you in any way!
