Do turkeys have to be kept inside when it rains? I've heard that they are so stupid that they look up with open mouths and drown when it rains. Is this true?

Is it true that the ocean is salty because whales ejaculate in it?

A friend a I went to the ocean near houston and for a swim, went went about 100 feet from the shore and started getting stung from what I thought must have been a jelly fish, turns out that there were hundreds of clear floating (things) that would attach themselves to us and bite or sting us. They were very small, about the size of a tick, clear, you could not see them unless you looked very close, all you could see of them were two dots that I suppose where there eyes. They had legs and stuff, I dont know if they had any claws, too small. Does anyone know what I am referring too?

A friend lives in an upstairs duplex. His stairway is outside and Bats often fly by his door as it's on the upper level right under the roof. What can he do to keep them away? Someone mentioned moth balls...Does that work for bats? Serious answers please and thank you.

The lower two fish are remora. The top has a similar body shape, but a pec and no sucker. It is right side up as are the other two fish. Please be able to back up your answers.

thanks!

I am having a HUGE spider problem at my house. These suckers are EVERYWHERE. It is freaking me out because they look a bit like Brown Recluse spiders, but the ones I've gotten close to don't look like they've got the "fiddle" on their backs. They're fairly large, have long, narrowish bodies (abdomens?), and are extremely fast. I have never seen any spider move that fast. So what I want to know is, are there any spiders similar to the Brown Recluse, and what are they? Are they poisonous? I've seen what happens to Brown Recluse bites, and I don't want none of that. Any info would be great.

I normally would try to find the answer on my own before coming here, but I loathe spiders... I can't even stand to look at pictures of them, and I know any site I go to will have pics.

Thanks!

Theres this super creepy spider stuck inside my window. It made these 3 big brown "sacks" around it, and yesterday I saw it devouring an earwig. its got a large round brown (with like a spiral-ey design on it) behind, and the front half, and legs are a dark translucent orange. I tried to take some pictures of it so you could see the shape, but they didnt turn out too well.. but here they are..

I heard a story about a guy who would occasionally "cleans" his body by starving himself and then taking a bath in warm milk. The reason was that there are worms that develop and live in the body and the scent of the milk would draw the starved worms out of his pores. I think the story is crazy but I'm not sure, is that possible ??

I'm looking for a term or preferably one word that means "something which should not have evolved or occurred in nature but which has", I'm not sure such a term exists but maybe someone has heard it before?

Is anyone familiar with a species of stinging caterpillar that has black spikes in bands and has striped colors on its body including red, orange, and yellow? I am only familiar with the all black variety and found this brightly colored one today in my flowers. I am unable to find any example looking like this particular caterpillar online. Does anyone know anything about it?

(Yes there is such a thing as stinging caterpillars only they don't 'sting' like a bee. They have hollow spikes sticking from their bodies which inject poison into anybody who might be trying to hurt them. Nasty little critters...)

Thanks for any help you can offer! I am unsure where to categorize this so here goes nothing...

I had a butterfly get stuck in my windshield wiper, and when I pulled over to let get it out, I was devastated to see that it's lower body was crushed and one of it's lower wings was torn. It crawled on my hand and acted as if nothing was wrong, so although my initial thought was to just kill it and put it out of it's misery, I ended up putting it on a flower in the shade. It couldn't fly anymore with the shape it was in, but I figured it could enjoy it's last moments on Earth on a flower, which I know butterflies love. My question is, how could it still be alive with it's body crushed, and do insects/butterflies feel pain like we do? Do they have nerves? Can some "bug people"answer this please, as I'm not some "crazy lady" and would like serious answers! Thanks!
