well if you know any thing cows have a tendency to fart what way would you face

Cows are not an independent animal, they follow the leader. I haven't really seen cows necessarily standing around all facing the same way, but when one moves the others go too.

They tend to face into the wind, as this is more comfortable for most furred and feathered animals.
