What is salivarium in zoology? Something related to saliva? Couldnt find it on the net. Alternatively, what is bee salivarium or lepidoptera salivarium?

Seems to be involved with the "mouth parts" of an insect. Tough reading, though!

"The cavity formed by the ventral surface of the hypopharynx and the ental surface of the labium is identified as the salivarium."

Bees: http://www.faculty.ucr.edu/~legneref/biotact/bc-51b.htm#hypopharynx
Lepidoptera: http://www.univie.ac.at/evolutionsbiologie/Personal/Krenn/PDF/Eberhard%20&%20Krenn%202003.pdf
