Are there even kites in the NE of america, and are they even water birds in the first place? If so which ones.

Ive gone through all sorts of sea egals, gulls, really all the raptors i can think of. I just happened upon photo's of kites and the shape looked just like that. Its NOT AND OSPREY, i looked at all sorts of photos of them and its not that. It looks so much like a kite.

White belly, slender sea-bird like wings, about three or four foot span, i think a brownish-greyish feathers, NO flight feathers at the tips of the wings, its very clean and pointy.

ANY IDEAS?

This is the fourth time ive seen this thing.

Iam in upstate NY.

Psychology could come into play as well as marine biology, but I'm not sure which would be better and what level to take it to. [i.e. bachelor's or master's] I'm also curious for the average income of a trainer.

I was biking along and out of nowhere, I saw this yellow bird with what looks like black wings zoom by me. I didn't get a close look, but I was wondering if anyone has heard of such a bird? It was a pretty bright yellow and it looked like it had black wings, but it might have just been a stripe or something. Anyone know what kind of bird this is?

it looks like a Dragonfly...but it's not. it had a black body, and possibly what looked like a stinger on it's tail. it's legs looked almost spider like and it appeared to have possibly 6 or 8 legs. it's wings resembled that of a Dragonfly. really creepy looking! my boyfriend said it's a "Flycatcher". does anyone know the correct name for this bug?
