Flies are diurnal, meaning that they sleep at night. Since they're asleep, you won't see them feeding or doing any other daytime activities.

Flies are cold-blooded creatures meaning their internal body temperature is roughly equivalent to the external temperature. If that is true then why are their moths flying around at night? Aren't they cold-blooded too? Because certain species of insects have developed specialized adaptations to colder environments. Flies are not one of those specialists. Then why would you see no flies at night when it is still 90 degrees? Because 90 degree nights comprise an infinitesimally small number of the 365 nights we have in one year, overall.

Flies don't come out at night, because like us humans, flies goes to sleep at night. Thats why theres never a fly at night during daytime flies wake up and feed till it's night time. Thats why they travel from places to places to search for food, till its night they good to sleep till morning again. It's like a cycle for the flies based on human lifestyle. ^_^

Flies are visually oriented and need quite a lot of light to get around.
