An aardvark is a large burrowing nocturnal mammal (Orycteropus afer) of sub-Saharan Africa that has a long snout, extensible tongue, powerful claws, large ears, and heavy tail and feeds especially on termites and ants.

It's not exactly the same thing as an 'anteater', but it does eat ants.

Sorry, folks; aardvarks don't eat ants- they eat termites. Ants have hard shells which aardvarks can't chew, as they have only 12 teeth and those teeth have no enamel. The termites are soft-shelled.
Aardvark is an Afrikaans word that means "earth pig". They are so called because they have a snout and hair like pigs. Their ears are long, like a rabbit's and a tail like a large kangaroo.Their feet have claws to dig tunnels underground so they have a place to sleep out of the sun (they are nocturnal) so they don't get sunburned. Their vision is exceptionally poor, and if frightened, they will run away squealing, just like a pig, and are known to run clumsily into tree trunks and other objects.
Aardvarks have no known relatives.
Males can weigh up to 350 lbs; females to 250 lbs.

The aardvark is also known as the F-111. It's no longer used by the U.S. Air Force, but it is still used in some countries like Australia. The pilot can release fuel from the tanks, ignite them with the jets, and create an awe inspiring light show with it.
