I wish some people could use punctuation. There are three species of wombat in Australia, the common, the southern hairy-nosed and the northern hairy-nosed. Now, it seems, we have "magpie wombats" and "wallaroo wombats". Not only that, it seems we have a "lyrebird whale" and a "mallee fowl yabby".

I know Australia has interesting fauna, I get a lot of it in my back yard, but this is ridiculous.
