I'm going to assume you are serious about this question.
Sharks are a fish and therefore have to be in the water to feed. So naturally a person in the water is going to be wet. Sharks are predators and opportunistic feeders so if a person is in the water and the shark is hungary, they just might become prey.
I can understand a fraction of shark attacks being on "dry" people because if a dry person is in a boat and they are fishing and catch a shark, when they bring the shark on board, the shark could attack them out of fear. I'm sure that is much less likely to occur than the person being attacked for food while swimming or standing in the water.
Hope this helps.

well sharks have nothing to hold against wet people, or dry people or any other kind of people for that matter.
the thing is, the sea is their domain, they are meant to live there, and we are not.
they are at their best in their domain and we are just in their way of hunting and foraging for food.
now the main reason why sharks attack people is misconception.
what sharks do is they swim several feet below the surface of water and scan the surface for any prospective prey such as a seal, which is their favorite food.
when we go into the water wearing our wetsuits and flippers, the outline that our body makes resembles that of a seal to the shark, and sharks dont see that well.
so they think that we are their favorite food and they launch their attach on us.
when they attack, sharks usually close their eyes to preventing any damage to their eyes during the attack. so they dont realise that we are not seals, until its too late( for us)
, after they have a taken a huge bite.
so this way, the sharks gets it not-so-well-deserved bad name.
to avoid being attacked, whenever we enter the waters, we must always remember that we are entering their domain and be cautious.

I find that the answer is pretty obvious. Due to sharks (apart from loan sharks) not being amphibious creatures, but being water dwelling creatures it make s it pretty tricky for them to attack a person who is not wet. i presume that the 0.1% of people who were attacked that were not wet were aboard some type of vessel such as a boat. However they would create some splashing as they leap out of the water and make the cvictim partially wet. The 0.1% may also be attacked by loan sharks .

Hmmm....Probably cause they're in the water? If they're dry, they must be on boat or land and I really don't recall any stories of a shark climbing up onto a boat or walking down the beach to get some lunch.

Wow, you might be on to something here. The next great revolution for shark deterrence is for people to be dry and they won't get attacked! Fabulous!

Sharks aren't generally known for their ability to travel on dry land... I suspect they like their prey to come to them!
I want to know what the 0.1% were doing before they got attacked!

they are in the water? and the movements we make when we swim attract sharks and theres nothing you can do about it those movements are natural u cant help it. they also attack if you pee in the water or wear bright colors, and also if your bleeding. those all are things sharks arr attracted to.
