Yes. I was trying to help a small feral kitten who had it's head stuck in a jar, the jar having broken and left the kitten a collar of broken glass. It took about three weeks and a hundred attempts to catch the little thing, and when I finally did, with the help of my burly brother-in-law, this kitten ripped and mauled me so bad, tooth and nail, I bled for hours and almost had to go to the emergency room for stitches. A tiny kitten turned both my arms into hamburger even though I tried to keep it covered. I'm luck to have survived, and this thing did not even weigh a full pound!

Midegs and mosquitos. They love me, I must have something in my blood that attracts them. I can be out with a friend who might get one or two bites whilst at the same time I end up with 30 or 40.

For no particular reason I seem to end up in many potentially dangerous situations. We were sort of attacked by what was supposed to be a friendly shark, it was OK because we were in an observation cage. Last year I was on the back of a croc which was supposed to have been sedated - it wasn't. It spun round violently and lurched at one of the handlers, fortunately the croc's mouth was taped and ropes held him in place; once he's been fed a couple of fowl he was happy again.

Also came upon a mother polar bear in a place we'd been told was safe. She wasn't impressed when we came over the brow of a small hill and made her dissatisfaction quite clear by adopting an aggressive stance. She didn't attack but had we ventured closer she may well have done so (polar bear look cute and fluffy but they're fast and ferocious).

The only 'attack' happened when I was about 18 and got my butt bitten by a dog that escaped from soneone's house. It wasn't serious and only required a couple of injections.

And my brother's cat when I was in my teens. It would sit there purring merrily then launch itself at people without warming. It was like something from a comedy film as frequently an unsuspecting victim could be seen staggering around the living room with this deranged cat firmly clamped on their face. It had been called Sandy but to add a touch of irony we rechristened it Pansy.

In all cases we were with experts. My girlfriend is a marine biologist and something of a shark expert when we were observing the sharks. The croc was being cared for in a protective compound and receiving medical care. The bear was an unexpected site, we were doing research in the Arctic but our team included bear experts.

A jack-russell dog which locked it's teeth in to my arm (a farmer set it on me), and only eventually came off after a few swings of it against a car. Loadsa blood poured from my arm and then stiches.

A swan. (no damage but freaky)

Got chased by a bull when i was working on a farm. jumped over a five-bar gate in the adrenaline rush. The bull hit the gate and bent it so it probably would have killed me. also been bit by a dingo (I put my finger in it's cage at a zoo when i was a kid.

If this animal broke out of it's cage...it would have torn me to shreds and eat me up for his dinner. I was watching a black leopard in temporary cage and it sprang at me inside the box...I was petrified.

A cow went for me once. I was going into the field, bringing them water and a cow who had a young calf went for me. I had to climb up a tree to get away from her. I think she would have killed me if I hadnt got away from her.
