You can be fairly sure to find them in sloths as far as mammals are concerned. Sloths have as many as 24 pairs of ribs, against 9 pairs in whales and 12 pairs in humans.

The animal is the the Three-Toed Sloth, Bradypus tridactylus.


btw. apparantly Klingons are also reported to have 23 pairs of ribs.
