My daughter is in kindergarten and they have little sport games every now and than. She is such a leeder and always has to win. They were havng a little soccer game and this boy on the other team got the ball so she started kicking him in the legs so hard he started crying, Than without caring made the goal. . Whenever she has friendscomeover she bosses them and yells at them like yesterday she had a new friend comover who she didnt know before and they were playing wii tennis, and the other girl was doing it wrong but still having fun, and laughing. my daughter was so annoyed that she unpluggs the wii and says "Seams like your not smart enough and I am just better at a lot of things than you". The girl started crying. My daughter is a nice girl but is so used to being around older siblings that teach her how to play wii or that she see's being rough in there soccer games. I try telling her these things but she just doesnt realize she's doing this.

My son wouldn't take a nap, I was washing the floor and his 4 year old brother was in the room next door. I went upstairs on a few occasions to tell him to sleep. Then he decided to start screeming and I thought for sure this would wake his brother so I smacked his bottom once but hard. I felt awful... I am a very loving mother however I noticed my dad's intimidating behaviour when I smacked his bottom. I don't want to be a parent who spanks. I believe it will teach him to be afraid and angry. What can I do next time to prevent this? Any advice??

My husband is taking her to visit his parents for 3 nights and 4 days while I visit MY mom with our teenaged daughter (his step) right after the holidays. Have you ever had to be away from your baby... for the 1st time... for an extended time?

What to expect?

What can help?

She is nursed, but I am attempting to wean her. She eats table food and drinks from bottles and cups, too.

I am going to miss her terribly?

Please suggest kindly, some things to help me.
Thanks!

she was waking up at 8am and going to bed at 11pm . taking a nap around 11am and 6pm and then she would not go to sleep until 11 or 12. now she is waking up at 10am taking a nap around 1pm and then still does not want to sleep. Her naps are between 1 and 3 hours. I am having to hold her and pat her on the butt to go to sleep. she throws a tantrum when i lay her down not just to go to sleep but to change diaper. When do 11 months old usually go to sleep and how to get her to go to sleep at like 9pm and stay asleep.

I have a 3 year old and a 13 month old...both girls. I am having no problem finding things for the older one, but I was wondering if there were any parents out there who had toy suggestions for the younger one. She is very musical and likes to climb and explore.

I'm looking for a natural fruit juice for kids.
My son drinks water and milk all day but i would like to add juice to his diet since he's been picky with food lately.

I've seen a commercial from Juicy Juice about their new Harvest Surprise juice... it has both fruits and veggies. We purchased a bottle and my son liked it.

The problem is i dont really know if its good or not. I would like to keep it as natural as possible without having to buy a juicer and make my own.

(by the way he'll be 2 in a couple months)

My 18 month old son has an anger problem. He's also very very hyper active. He doesn't understand everything I'm saying and I really don't think beating him to death will get me anywhere except in jail so anybody non abusive know what to do? He hits, he throws his toys, scratches and bites other children and adults and throws himself out and screams for every little thing that doesn't go his way....

Annoying noises, messy pieces.....what toy do you just wish you could throw away and never see again? My daughter loves crayons, but I can't trust her with them or she will write on the wall. She SCREAMS for them and I got so fed up I hid them on the shelf and told her I lost them. What toy do you hate?

i moved my 16 month old son into a single bed because he had started to climb out of the cot anytime he didnt want to be in it..anyways..the first night he cried because he got up whenever he wanted to..and me or hubby would pick him and put him straight back in bed.. it took like 30 mins to get him to finally fall asleep (neither of us gave in, we just kept putting him back in bed)..and tonight..when i put him in bed..he went to sleep straight away and didnt get up once... was this just luck..or is he used to it already?..

kids learning games?
I have two boys 4 and 6 yrs old would like to get them something that they can have fun with but first and formost helps them with their learning. I want my 4 yr old to get a headstart and get him prepared when he starts pre-k next year. And my 6 yr old now in the 1st grade could use some extra help. I know there is lots of stuff out there like these leapster, v-tech, that hook up to your tv, handheld and and and but it's not so easy to choose which one to get. Does anyone own any of this learning games? What would you suggest? It should be kid resistant if you know what I mean cause I read that lots of these games work with cards and such that are very easy torn and just plain simple distroyed. I want something that works and if possible lasts more than just a month or so

Ok so he has been potty training since he was 2 1/2yrs of age he turned 3 in Oct. When he started he had vry few accidents with peeing in his pants...then he was really good about even waking up at night to go pee if he had to. Now for the past couple of weeks almost every other day he just goes in his pants even after i talk to him or give him time out...so he knows that that's not right...is this what they just go through or am I reading into it too much...should I just shut up and let him be a 3 yr old or what....any suggestions?

I just recently posted a question about our misbehaving 4yr old son,and my husband and I deciding to try spanking him.
Well,it just happened,I was trying to get him ready for bed time,I had just finished helping him take a bath and as soon as I got him dried off and put his little briefs on him and before I could get his pj's on him,he started protesting getting his pj's on,so I called for my husband and he came into the bathroom and took our son to the living room and administered a sound but not excessively hard spanking to the seat of his briefs, when my husband was done, with the spanking, our son immediately grabbed and held and then rubbed his bottom, while he was rubbing his bottom,he bent foward and looked down at the front of his briefs.
Is it pretty normal for a youg boy to grab and hold and then rub his bottom after a spanking?
We are trying to figure out why he bent foward and looked down at the front of his briefs while he was rubbing his bottom after the spanking.
