No, too much of a risk. I would ask the dentist if you can be present in the room, this will comfort your son and calm your nerves. Plus boys that age many times will be braver if Mama is around.

Get him novocaine and explain that it will be uncoftable but you know he is a big boy and he will make you proud. Good luck!

No, getting put to sleep for such a minor procedure is too much of a risk.

YES! If he is getting them all at one time. It would be very painful to have that many deadening shots and to have his mouth open that long. If they are not being done at one time, it may not be necessary. It depends on how frightened he is.

no i can remember getting fillings at his age. it won't be pleasant but the doctor never told me that he was filling a tooth. he just did it and didnt give me a chance to get nervous. obviously he told my parents first though.
