I just recently posted a question about our misbehaving 4yr old son,and my husband and I deciding to try spanking him.
Well,it just happened,I was trying to get him ready for bed time,I had just finished helping him take a bath and as soon as I got him dried off and put his little briefs on him and before I could get his pj's on him,he started protesting getting his pj's on,so I called for my husband and he came into the bathroom and took our son to the living room and administered a sound but not excessively hard spanking to the seat of his briefs,when my husband was done,with the spanking,our son immediately grabbed and held and then rubbed his bottom,while he was rubbing his bottom,he bent foward and looked down at the front of his briefs.
Is it pretty normal for a youg boy to grab and hold and then rub his bottom after a spanking?
We are trying to figure out why he bent foward and looked down at the front of his briefs while he was rubbing his bottom after the spanking.

Pedophile alert. The in depth descriptions of a spanking are 100% sure signs that this person gets off on a child spanking scenario. "Sound but not excessively hard spanking to the seat of his briefs" is the language of a spanking fetish story you'd find online. I'd say this isn't a woman but a middle aged man. Beware!!!!

How hard did he spank him? I'm not opposed to it; just remember a spank should just be an eye-opener, not torture. Maybe he was just checking to make sure all his "parts" were still intact?!
By the way, why did your husband do the dirty work? If your son misbehaved for YOU, then YOU need to be the parent. Your son needs to learn that both of you are in charge. He will quickly learn that mom is for hugs and dad is the meany if you don't take responsibility equally. He will walk all over you and resent his dad.

Maybe he thought he could see his bottom to see where it was hurting... I have no clue. But yes it is normal for them to rub their bottoms after a spanking. And just like you, I am not a strong person, and my spankings have no affect on my kids.. But do make sure that you tell him why he got spanked, so he is not confused...

I agree with one of the other answers that you should have spanked your son when he done something wrong as he will walk all over you.... I have a 2 and 3 year old and there dad always got up them and not me and i regret that as they try and walk all over me.... Then it is hard to show them that Mummy and Daddy are both the boss not just daddy....

The holding of the bottom is normal! He may have looked forword to see if he had wet himself from the shock if this was his first spanking. My little girl did that the first couple of times.

The rubbing is normal, he was trying to rub the sting out. As far as looking at the front of his briefs, he was probably making sure he hadn't peed on himself.

Poor kid! You might consider finding creative ways to gain his cooperation instead of just punishing him for not obeying. For instance, if he protests getting his pajamas on, make a game of getting them on. Say something like "I'll bet you can't get your pj's on before I finish singing the abc's!" (kids this age love a dare), or "Let's get your pj's on and surprise Dad with how quick you are!", or "I get to tickle little boys who don't have their pajamas on!". Then praise him when he cooperates. If nothing works, try kind firmness: "I know you don't want your pajamas on, but it's time. Let's do it." You might have to repeat a few times. If it takes 25 minutes to get him into his pajamas instead of 5, then let him know that because it took so long to get ready for bed, he won't have time for a bedtime story or song, or whatever it is that he likes before bed.

Wouldn't you rub your bottom after your first spanking! Perfectly normal! Now...make sure you tell him WHY he got spanked!!
