Is there a rhyme or anything that makes it easier for kids to learn?

I have a 2 yr old son, and I have no idea what to make him for halloween. My 1 month old daughter is going as a butterfly, a homemade costume, and I'd like to make my son's, also. Not much extra money or talent, so the ideas need to be cheap and easy. Include a link to a website if that's where you found it. Please and Thank you! :)

Yes, I made the mistake in the beginning of letting him have the TV on all day. Most days it's just background noise. If me or my husband even comes near the remote, he screams and cries b/c he doesn't want us to turn his shows off. I've recently decided enough is enough and I want to limit how much he watches. I've tried turning the TV off altogether during the day to make more time for play and such, but I still get fits. Is this something that will pass in time, or did I lay the ground rules too late?

My 2 1/2 year old won't use the potty. She will sit on it and wipe and flush but won't pee in it unless we make her sit there forever. When we make a big deal and get all excited when she does pee she smiles, but still won't use the potty on her on. We have used the cool and wet liner pull ups and the vinyl panties with cotton liners to help her learn what it feels like when she is wet, but she does'nt seem to care if she is wet. Any suggestions?

I am a Childcare Provider and I own a daycare in my home. I have this one parent that brings her children to my home filthy; I have good reason to believe that the personal hygeine of the female children are being neglected to the point of infection! The children are always sick and I literally have to threatened child protective services on her before she takes them to the docter and thats sad! I want to give my parents a chance but, this girl has 4 kids! You think she would know by now! I need some insight from some of you please. Thank you in advance!

I have a 3 year old daughter and a 3 month old son. She is good and helpful wanting to help with her brother, but towards me she doesn't listen, makes messes, screams and cries for any little thing. I've tried everything, but I can't get her to behave!

I don't even know if it is available and haven't talked to my husband about it yet, but I was curious. My daughter is three and attends pre-k and her teacher reccomended that I take her to the kindergarten screening today. After her screening the school's nurse goes over the results with each parent, and she kept going on about how smart my daughter was, she placed on average six points above where the "average" child her age is expeccted to be at in the three catagories that they screen for in motor skills, concepts, and speech/language skills. She is also seventeen points ahead in her development skills. I was just wondering if this was your child would you consider putting her in kindergarten a year early if it were available?

I'm guessing my son (15 months old) has a staph infection along with a diaper rash and I'm taking him to the doc this afternoon. There's no doubt in my mind that he caught it from daycare. I don't believe his teacher wears gloves when she changes the toddlers diapers. How do I convice her to wear them without sounding annoying or rude? Should I confront her first or go strait to the daycare director? She's a really nice girl and my son and I like her, but this can't happen again. Please give me your advice.
Thank you

My daughter has the 20-40lb Cosco Booster Seat and I recently took it apart to wash it and readjust straps to higher setting. I lost the instruction book and cannot get the straps re inserted where I can adjust it to the right size. Does anyone know of an online owners maunal or a way to request a new instruction book. It would be so helpful. Thanks for taking the time to read and answer this.

He doesn't try to take his clothes off by himself, only his socks and shoes. This is my first child, so I don't know when to expect him to be ready. Most people are telling me that he is too young, but he is extremely intelligent in other areas. He names off many animals, says well over 60 words, puts together 3 word sentences and can count to three. We have the potty chair in the bathroom and he will occasionally go in and sit on it briefly when his daddy is in there. How do I start encouraging him to try it without being pushy?

It seems that almost overnight, my daughters diet has almost cut in half, she isnt as interested in food as she was for the last 3 months or so. Is this likely to be because she had been going through a growth sput, and required more calories at that time? Could her body just need less now? Thanks

My daughter is 21 months old and can run around naked without a single peepee accident, the problem?? She WON'T go in the POTTY, she asks for a diaper when she needs to go. THe other morning I got her to sit on the potty until she finally went (an hour and a half later) and when she DID go it prompted her to start a HUGE hissy fit, I kept telling her how good of a girl she was and that I was proud of her. She soon settled down and started clapping. SHe helped me clean out the potty and all. I have been trying it ever since with no luck, she will hold it for over an hour or start crying. I am afraid she is going to give herself a bladder infection.

I KNOW she is ready because she has SHOWN me that she CAN hold it and she CAN feel it!! She hates wet diapers and panties (or those thick training pants) but yet it takes FOREVER for her to go!!!

Advice please????
