I have a 4 year old daughter when she was 2 i started to take her to the potty. I put pull-ups on her and when i set her not the potty she would just sit there and not do anything not later than I pulled up her pull-ups she pees. This went on for 2 months I would take her to the potty every hour and its like she was not getting it. When i got to the point of giving up she runs to the potty and does it all by her self. I think if you keep doing it a lot and don't stop they start to catch on. When she seen me getting frustrated its like it clicked and she just did it.

Do yourself and your daughter a huge favor and leave it alone. You didn't force her to walk, talk or eat so don't force her to use the potty. It will happen when she is ready and honestly 2 1/2 is still young. By forcing the issue you may be making things even worse and will perhaps make this into a power struggle. Kids like to be the initiator of things when allowed and once she see she's pleasing you her positive potty behavior will continue. No one goes to kindergarten in a diaper!!

I let my oldest go around in a skirt and no panties so it was easier for her to get herself to the potty, once she was successful she earned pretty panties she choose. With my last one this didn't work but the wetting dolly did. Have her train the dolly to use the potty, feed the dolly then take her to the potty this worked really well.

I had to bribe my daughter. We used stickers with my first daughter and organic lollipops with my second daughter. Both refused to use the potty despite all the excitment, potty songs, potty dances, potty parties, etc. Figuring out what motivated them was the hard part. But a small bribe usually helps and before you know it, you can discontinue the incentives. It only took a week and my daughters had it down and the incentive program was gone.

I think that it would be a good idea to wait a little longer. She's only two and a half. You don't need to be drastic but you can't force her to understand can you? I heard that even some doctors don't recommend potty training until after three because their bladders just aren't strong enough until then.

She is simply not ready. Potty training is something that a child must do at their own pace. My best advice is to simply stop trying for now. In a month bring it up again. If after a couple of days still no luck, then try again in another month.
You are lucky in that she knows what to do and she is cooperative. Keep her cooperative by respecting her wishes and let her proceed at her own pace.
Peace!

Try giving her treats, take the time to make her sit there until she does go, and when she goes, give her a treat that she loves!!! And tell her what an awesome job she did!! That should make her want to go more often. Let her know that whenever she uses the potty she gets a treat.

My sister just got to the point where she put panties on my niece and told her if she had to go she had better use the potty. My niece never had an accident. It sounds like she is ready.

First off, take her out of the pull ups. Put her in underwear only. Tell her if she needs to go potty then she has to tell you. If she doesn't tell you and pees in her pants then spank her butt. If she tells you she has to go, then take her into the bathroom and don't let her get up until she goes.
