My house needs cleaning and there are some home repairs I could work on but I have my three-year-old with me and I don't want her sitting in front of the tv all day. Besides, I don't know if I want to spend my free time working. Know what I mean? Any ideas?

Get her involved in helping you. I know its little things that she can do for mommy to help you get your housework done. I hate kids watching tv all day too. Maybe pop in one movie and get some big things out the way then after the movie is over do things she can help with. She'll like helping mommy. I know my son likes to help and feel useful.

Give the 3 year old a dust rag and have her dust. Have her put some of the clean dishes away. Have her fold laundry. Have her make the beds.

Play games with her. Let her tell you what games to play. Give her crayons, markers and colored pencils and a notebook to draw in. Give her a coloring book with crayons and stuff. Clip out pictures from magazines, give her a glue stick and construction paper. Let her make a book.

Bake cookies with your three year old. Then eat them and watch Oprah. :)

It's raining here, so I'm in homebody mode.

The zoo if your town has one. Hayrides, haunted houses, etc. You'll figure it out - there's lots to do.
