Jumpstart. All there software is excellent and educational. There is a Toddler, then goes Preschool, Kindergarten, 1st grade, etc. Also one specifically for Music and other things. Each one is very age appropriate. Humungous makes good educational software too but not sure if any of theirs is toddler. Reader rabbit definitely does toddler educational items.

Interacting with the world will do your toddler far more good than any computer game. Computer games and TV 'teach' a child to look straight ahead, blocking out distractions side to side. Computer games only teacher yes/no answers to questions, no opportunity for hypothesizing or predicting outcomes. No opportunity for asking questions.

hey,
i have found that leapfrog learn pads are heaven because there are many books to choose from starting at newborn up to 3 or 4 year olds, they teach the baby about colours words pictures shapes and each book has over 100 different learning experiences. they may be slightly costly to start with i think mine was about 40 pounds however for family members who struggle to get a different present for xmas and birthdays buying a new book for roughly 6.99 is brillant and has helped me alot.
hope this helps!!!1

try www.noggin.com.........it's preschool on television network but they also have great games to play on the computer. My daughter loves going to this website. There are games that teach numbers, letters, counting, colors, shapes ect........pretty much everything you'd want your preschooler to know. It's fun so they don't realize they're learning, just playing...which I think is the best way to teach.

Reader Rabbit is good. Dora The Explorer has good computer games that are easy enough for little ones.
If you want free online games their are cute ones on www.noggin.com!

My 3 yr old loves to play Felix & The Flying Machine Animal Mix-Up game. It's easy enough for him to do on his own and it's very educational.
