My three year old daughter keeps taking her 8 month old sister's pacifiers, she'll either suck on them or hide them. My husband and I have tried everything from punishment to gentle explanation on why this is wrong. Help! I need some advice!

I have 2 kids, 1 1/2 and 3 1/2, and they are getting their backs, legs, arms, tummys, and heads clean... I know this sounds silly, but I am trying not to invade their privacy too much, but I fear they are not getting clean! How do you clean the private areas of small kids, without being creepy about it? HELP!

How can I teach him to stay sleeping all thru the night without needing a bottle. (he doesnt get any bottles thru the day or at night before he goes to bed, we are trying to wean him from the bottle completely)

My girlfriend and I wnet to see the movie "Cars" this weekend.
We decided we should see it this weekend since it had been out for a couple of weeks and has received some good reviews.

While this is an animated movie, we did expect that some people would bring their children to the theater.
As we started watching the previews, it was obvious that the parents were not going to be able to keep these kids quiet.
Parents didnt just bring in children, they brought in toddlers.
Im talking abouot children under the age of 5 who have no understanding of what they are going to see. Children that have no ability to sit still for an extended amount of time, and will begin to cry or yell at their parents when they are bored or arent able to get up and do something that they want.

Is it reasonable to expect that there may be a time in which children under the age of 5 would be banned from the public movie theater, until they can sit still and focus on the movie?

I am in the process of potty training my son. I'll let him run around the house naked and having him sit on his potty from time to time. He won't go. He will hold it all day and I mean all day. By night fall he is screaming and crying holding him self and saying it hurts. Has anyone else experienced this? How can I make him go and not hold it? I feel so bad for him when he screams like that, he asks me for help and to get it out. I can't make him understand that I can't get it out, he has to let it out.

Has anyone else dealt with this before?

Everybody knows that barring severe health problems and mental retardation, girls potty-train 3 to 6 months earlier than they would as boys -- it seems like everything from the standing urination to the more obstinate personality to the lack of sexual identification with the parent normally training them (the mother) slows boys down. But what I'm asking is why, with all these things going against the boys, do some girls get beat by their brothers, cousins, and neighbors when it comes to how young they were when diapers were no longer necessary? For example, I met a woman with a beautiful set of fraternal twins 3 years old, yet her daughter was the one in a Pull-Up! I mean, when your 2nd child is a girl, shouldn't you at least be consoled by the "fact" that she won't go through as many diapers as did your son? Why can't one be certain that her daughter will be trained before Christmas 2008 if her son was out of diapers by 29 months?

It is not because I do not like spanish but they are already learning both English and Romanian. What shows should I avoid having on TV if I want them to avoid having the confusion of a third language? I already know to avoid Dora.

This is for one of those easels for children, but we have another one with the same problem. Despite rubbing a chalk horizontally across the surface, and wiping hard with paper towel and the eraser like the directions say, the chalk still doesn't work well.

Ideas?

Even though we live in the heart of New York City, a mile and a half from Korea-town, I still can't find any dolls for my daughter that are ethnically Korean, other than expensive display knick-knacks. Even generic "Asian" dolls are thin on the ground. Any suggestions?

Is there an issue with keeping the baby's (toddler) head straight with the sissors? What about keeping them still in a high barber chair? I know this is a stupid question, but something I don't know and need to find out.

I would like to talk to my daughters dr, to have him consider some problems that my daughter looks like she could ( or could not ) have but I dont want to sound like those parents who want their kid to be sick. 2 in particular are sleep apnea and Autism ( spectrum ). She shows a few of the early signs of autism, and I know about sleep apnea and what it does because my dad has it, and I swear my girl has it. How would i bring this up....the Dr is also really old and really old school.
