Good luck with that but i keepe pulling her hand out every time my daughter would have it in her mouth. took a long time but as time went on i would see it less and less in her mouth. She 12 now been 3 years, don't see her doing it anymore.

make him or her put a puppet on their hand. my friend used to have the same problem and did that. i'm not sure if its the puppet that helps but i'm sure he will stop sucking his thumb as he gets older.

you could get the stuff you put on your nails to stop you bitting them.then when he puts his thumb in his mouth he will get a bad taste maybe.
