We have a three year old daughter, she is used to sleep in her bed room from day 1, but recently since 6 months she started coming back to our bed room in the night. We tried almost every thing tried to tell stories before she slips to sleep, carried her back to her room after she comes in the night. Some time she walks back 3-4 times until we stop shifting her back to her room.
I think she is subconsciously thinking that she is sleeping in different room, What can we do as parents to help her get over that habit.
Any suggestions would help us. Thanks in advance

My daughter is completely attached to a purple blanket we got her when she was like six months old. She's never parted from it since. She's now three and the thing is too small for her but she insists on having it when she goes to bed or nap (or if she feels bad or gets upset). The thing is starting to get very thin from all of the washings --- I don't know what will happen when it finally shreds !!

I am 7 months preggers and have 21 month old who does not sleep through the night yet. He'll wake up mostly once but it not unusual when he wakes up twice. The only time he sleeps through the night is if he's in bed with my hubby and I. He doesn't oppose sleeping in his own bed at all, he just prefers that someone is laying next to him. Here it is July and I'm due in the begining of October and I want to have him broken by his 2nd birthday (which is also in the begining of October). I haven't tried anything because I didn't know exactly what to do or where to start. Please help.

My son is 3, in May 04' when he was 1 and a half, I left him alone with my mother for the 1st time to go and get something for supper. My husband and I got coffee and went to the grocery store. On the way out, a car comes screaching through the parking lot, and it stopped in front of us, it was my sisters, and they screamed at me that my son had fallen in a lake and was unconcious at the hospital. I raced there to find out that he was unconcious, but breathing. After a time, he recovered perfectly. I found out, that my mother had thought it would be fine to let him walk around the yard by himself, he chased a ball into the lake behind their house.. significantly far away. To this date, she has not had him alone. She wants to take him for the night.. and I don't want to let her.. I'm still hurt and wary.. what should I do? Is this unreasonable?

I am in the process of potty training my daughter who will be 3 in Oct. She enjoys going and sitting on the potty but doesn't actually use it even though she says she does. She wants to wear big girl panties like her sisters but I tell her she has to start going in the potty to be able to wear them. She has done it twice at daycare but won't at home. If anyone has any suggestions on the best way to help her along, please let me know.

He will not take naps, and he only sleeps about 10 hours at night. Maybe once in a blue moon, he will sleep for 12 hours. I know that 10 is not enough for him, because he wakes up cranky and will have spurts of being overly hyper and then very grumpy. I don't know how to get him to sleep longer at night. The only thing I have found to help sometimes is hang black fabric over his windows to keep the light out.

My daughter just turned three a couple of weeks ago and she has been potty trained for a while now and doing fine. The problem we're having now with her is bed wetting. We used pull-ups at night for a while and she did fine and would always wake up dry. As soon as we started putting real panties on her at night, she began wetting the bed around two or three nights a week.

Is this normal? Why would she NOT pee in the pull ups but does pee in her panties??? I don't get it.

She does fine otherwise during the day and during her nap time.

My 3 1/2 year old son goes to bed and to sleep without a fight. After a few hours of sleep, he wakes up and will not go back to sleep. He's not even tired. He does not nap during the day (not for lack of trying) and sleeps about 3 hours in a 24 hour period. He does not get tired, he doesn't over or under eat, he doesn't wet the bed.. I don't know what the problem is, and no one can offer a solution. Any suggestions?

What would one do with a very determined and sometimes defiant little three year old who knows HOW to use the potty and does everynight after his bathtime but refuses to use the potty during the day? I have explained to him that we will go back to doing whatever we are doing (playing play-do or cars, etc...) nothing works and ends up in a battle and I dont want to do that! I am desperate, please help any advice will be better than nothing.

(As far as rewards go, he just tears up stickers and i was thinking of giving him a matchbox car evertime he uses the potty but when do you stop that and will the behavior only be done expecting a prize and when there are no more prizes will we go back to diapers???!!) ugh.

My daughter is 15 months old, and she often takes off her diaper. I can also tell that she is aware of going to the bathroom. She pauses whenever she does. I know she is ready, but do you have any pointers/personal experience?
-Shes not too young I was fully potty trained at 14 months-
