How to get my daughter out of the basement? She's been down there for two days?

Hey, are you my dad? I've been in a basement for more than a week now, but it was probably two days when you asked!!

You should just let your beautiful daughter come out on her own.

If I'm not your daughter, then you should create spooky effects in the basement like hiring a ghost to scare her, just make sure it's not a male because sometimes they do get horny =(
If that doesn't work, walk dowstairs with a shotgun and start playing "Fi-fi-foe" or whatever and make her laugh a little. Then C0CK the shotgun so she knows you're serious (no, actually don't do that). Then when the laughter turns into seizures, drag her out of the basement and shove her in the whatever you use to store garbage (her room)

If her room, like my room, IS the basement, then it would make sense that you let her alone until she comes out for her birthday party.

She is depressed. Dont frustrate this time of seclusion. Talk to her dont yell at her. just sit there and be quiet. listen and say nothing. no suggestions no opinions just sit there. She may open up.

If that does not work then find stuff to do in the basement i.e. wash clothes, clean up. Just start hanging out down there. She will get the point......

I'm going to assume that she is either a teen or young adult. If that is the case, why get her out? Enjoy the peace. Make sure that she is not doing anything illegal or immoral though. Otherwise, go down there with a flashlight and take all the light bulbs upstairs with you. Also really like the cricket suggestion.

How old is she, if she is a teenager maybe she just wants privacy.
I would try to get to the root of her problem, by going down there and having a talk with her, and see if she is depressed or whatever is going on in her life, that is if she is a teen.
Could something have happened to her that she is not telling you.
I would think she would get hungry.

You should just let her stay in the basement, she'll come up, sooner or later. She probably has a problem, that only time can heal.

well I'm assuming shes a preschooler right? just wondering cause this is the category for toddler & preschooler. if shes a preschooler tell her your going to call the cops & that they have guns that will put the scare into her. i used to do this to my son i would pretend that i was calling the cops i would carry on a conversation with them & tell them that my son is acting up he is not behaving what should i do knowing that my son is listening to every word. well tell him if he does not behave we will come to your house & have a talk with him. my son got scared so he told me he will behave but does not work any more cause hes 10 & somewhat behaved his auntie, use to scare the the holy cow out of him when we use to visit her. it wont hurt to try this on your daughter. {good luck with whatever you do & i'm sorry you are going through this alone}

YOU GO TO THE PET STORE AND BUY A COUPLE DOZEN OF THEIR LARGEST CRICKETS. EMPTY THEM INTO THE BASEMENT, THRU A WINDOW OR ANY OPENING. THE SOUND WILL DRIVE HER NUTS. IT'S A SAFE, SANE AND CHEAP WAY TO SOLVE THE PROBLEM, I THINK. AND DON'T WORRY THE CRICKETS WON'T BITE.
