My daughter just turned three a couple of weeks ago and she has been potty trained for a while now and doing fine. The problem we're having now with her is bed wetting. We used pull-ups at night for a while and she did fine and would always wake up dry. As soon as we started putting real panties on her at night, she began wetting the bed around two or three nights a week.

Is this normal? Why would she NOT pee in the pull ups but does pee in her panties??? I don't get it.

She does fine otherwise during the day and during her nap time.

PLEASE DON'T PUNISH HER.
yes, this is normal. the snug feel of the pull ups may very well be what is keeping her from going potty at night. panties are lose and thin giving a more relaxed feeling.

other than the cost of the pull ups there is no reason to stop using them. i would use them and not worry about it. eventually she will get the hang of it. it is hard to train your muscles to something they are not used to doing.

also stop liquids early in the evening, at least 2-3 hours before bedtime. make sure she uses the potty before she goes to bed.
don't worry yourself over this too much and just use the pull ups for now. good luck.

Your daughter is wetting the bed because she's not used to just wearing panties at night. Keep her in pull-ups for a little while longer while sleeping at night then, put her back on panties. If she still wets the bed, then keep her in the pull-ups while sleeping only. It's normal for a child to wet the bed. Some children wet the bed until they are 10 years old that's why they have developed the good-nites for the older children. Don't worry, soon she'll be getting up out of her bed in the middle of the night waking you and saying that she has to potty. Don't lose sleep over it, she'll be fine. Best of luck to you.

Thats normal for kids that age. A lot of them wet the bed much longer than 3 years old. Put the pull ups back on her it might be because if she wets in those it stays closer to her skin and she feels it more. Time is all she needs.

Don't get upset with her, it is natural. I know children that wet the bed well-past 3 years old(10+). Just be grateful she does well with the Pull-ups. Time is all it will take, she will be fine! :)

It kind of like saying your speech at home and then when you get on the platform you can't do it as well..............I guess panties gives her stress........go back to pull ups until she is asking for panties..........

Don't stress over something so inconsequential! And don't pass along this silly anxiety onto your child! Put her back in the pullups; no big deal.

if she does well in panties in the daytime..don't worry. Night time is harder..so gradually work up to night time.

Sometimes they slip up. She is only 3, be glad she is potty trained as well as she is.
