In my sisters parenting book it says that you should be wary of kissing a child on the lips after the age of 2 (even you own child). I don't think there is anything wrong with kissing children on the lips, i was just wondering what everyone else thought.

He is 7 years old and i always just thought that he didnt like school, although he has always told me he does...i spoke to his teacher on friday who says that he finishes his work with no probs and is always bored coz he finds it all too easy....i dont know what to do coz i was never like this at school, i really struggled....i dont know if i have encouraged him too much coz i always read with him, and hekp with his homework.....what should i do now...give him more work, or expect the teacher to do something?

I am having to set him maths when he comes home from school coz he wants to do something!!

I am aware this is not a bad thing...my question is...what do i do, carry on encouraging him...or leave it to the teacher now?

My kids dad won't spend time with them other than the minimum of visitation he is entitled to. which is every other weekend. He was a great dad before the divorce, always spending time with the kids, now he has changed because he feels since he has to pay child support he isn't obligated to. My kids goes weeks without seeing him and he lives 3 miles away. I have discussed him allowing him to get the kids whenever he wants, but yet he doesn't. Know he spends his time with his new girlfriend that has kids the same ages as ours and my kids really need their dad. I have no other family that can serve as a role model to them. I don't know what to do. Is it normal for a man to do this? My kids miss their dad and when my daughter calls him upset cause she misses him, he thinks i'm brainwashing them to try to get him to babysit them. The divorce was my doing, not his by the way. When he does get them, it's when can I bring them home, like it hinders his time. What can I do?

I don’t think so I hate when parents get mad because their little boy wants to play with a doll. it will only make them a better dad in the future. And just because they play with a doll doesn’t mean they will become gay I believe that’s something your born with. I absolutely am not against gays just to make that clear. What do you think?????

Many strip clubs actively recruit young women ages 18+ in our area. Some of the young women dancing in the clubs are High School seniors. I have no problem with this as they are adults and free to do as they choose. The clubs are doing nothing illegal and the schools can not discriminate against these young womens choice of occupation.

My point is with such an easy option for young women to obtain money gain independence from their parents homes and move out this is a very attractive option. A coworker of mine's daughter and a couple of her friends chose this path recently so they could get a place together away from their parents in the last 1/2 of their senior year.

I see alot of answers to parents perceived problems with their adult sons/daughters is if they do not want to follow the rules move out. I would like to know how many parents are prepared to make this statement and have their son/daughter pack up and move at that moment never to return?

I remember my son was about 2, and we were at the doctor's office. This older gentleman with a what appeared to be an enlarged...well you know. He kept looking at it. In my mind I started to think, oh my gosh, please do not let him say anything. He started tugging on my shirt. He says," mommy (very loudly) Him is hiding a ball in his pants." To make matters worse. I told him to hush and he did not have a ball. So he scoots down before i could grab him, and he runs over to the man and points at him and say, mommy look, him, he is hiding the ball right there. I could hav died from embarassment. What have your children said or done?

I saw a question asked earlier and it pissed me off. A lady asked abotu dating as a single parent and a lot of the posts told her she shouldn't worry abotu men. Why not? Is there any reason a parent should have to go through life without the love of another because they have a child? My praents divorced when I was 16. My mom married the guy she left my dad for. My dad has dated numerous women that I have met. I don't talk to most of them now but there are still a few I have very close bonds with. It just irks me that people think single parents should focus on nothing more than being a parent. I thought everyone deserved to be in love.

I think it is very selfish to formula feed everyone know that breastfeeding is way more healthier. God maid boobs to feed babies not for men. I hate when moms make up excuses why they wont breastfeed like they work or their child didn’t latch on. Well in took my son a week to latch on the nurses told me to give up but I didn’t. as for working there is always something called a pump and yes I used a pump. What do you think?
