My 8 weeks old son does not want to breastfeed anymore! He has been breasteeding since birth, but we started giving him one bottle feeding at night when he was about 2 weeksw old. For the past week with some feedings he has refused taking the breast, but takes a bottle. I am going back to work and will be pumping, but after work I'd like to breastfeed him. Any suggrstions how to make him breastfeed again?
Everybody tells me to just stopeed breastfeeding altogether and just give him a bottle, but I'd like to continue sharing this bond with him.

How did you do it when your lil one began to crawl then walk?
We have an area rug in the living room but I dont think thats enough. He can't get a grip when he is trying to crawl on the wood. He slips and on Friday he fell really bad :( I can take his socks off but in Cali. it is now getting cold.

Should we get rug? or are there any tips you can give me?

Currently pixi foto do not check the background of any employees, although all there staff work closely with children (any of them could already be a sex offender). There employees are also encouraged to ask for private info of that child inc. names, addresses, siblings etc.

Thanks to everyone who answered my last question. He was a little upset at first, but now he's sleeping in his swing. Ugh, I'm just a new mom and it's really scary. Should I let him sleep? OR wake him up? He ate a little and went to sleep. I think he has a little tiny bump towards the right side of his head.

Problem is he was ALREADY acting different because he just got a bunch of vaccines on Monday, and his legs were already sore and making him upset. So it's just crazy, I don't know if he's sleepy from Tylenol, hitting his head, or what. He really seems fine, but mainly I just don't know if I should wake him up or not?

It's 5 am, I'm freaking out. My 2 month old son was laying on his boppy pillow being fed, I fell asleep, and he slipped off of the pillow onto the carpet. He seems okay, but I don't know if he could have a concussion. My husband already left, and I don't know if I should call someone to take me to the hospital or not. My husband took my truck, his is being worked on. Our hospital here is horrible, and I'd probably wait like 11 hours so I hate to take him there unless I need to. Please help. I"m really upset and really scared.

2 woman have found out they were given the wrong babies when they left the hospital. The babies are now 10months old. They want their own babies back, but they have grown to love and care for that child. One woman is still breast feeding. What would you do, would you swap or carry on caring for the baby you have grown to love?

My baby has a dry skin and appears tiny bumps on forehead and mild red patches on cheeks. Doctor told that his skin is dry so therefore he suggested some precautions. In which he advised for cotton wearing instead of wool, archylic or nylon. Now winter has been arrived. I am worried that how could I protect my baby from cold through cotton wearings instead of wool. Can any one help me in this regard?

is it normal for my 10-week old to scream in terror during car rides? she has been on many car rides (you would think she would be used to it by now) and she is only ok when someone is sitting in the back with her, and even then not always. i have tried mirrors, toys, music, everything you could think of to try to calm her down, but she just screams in terror mostly. normally i just reach my hand in the back and try to stroak her cheek so she knows i am there, but i know it's unsafe as i am driving and need both hands. when should she grow out of this? i feel abusive every time i take her anywhere. :(

Is a door-hang jumper age appropriate for an 18-month-old, or is it more for younger babies? What are some things that your babies love/have loved that I could use as a gift idea?

My little one is 4.5 months old and I think has her first case of diaper rash. I feel like an awful mommy! I know it happens to most babies... but still, know what I mean? Well, she is a little red on the lips of her vagina and a little bit heading towards the crease of her legs. There are a few spots that seem a little "puffy", NOT majorly and she isnt BRIGHT red. Does this sound like diaper rash? She has her 4 month checkup on Thursday and I plan on using some desitin til then. She doesnt seem like she is in pain... still giggles during diaper changes, ect... what do ya think?

Hi,

i'm 38 weeks pregnant with my second baby.
I had such a bad time breast feeding my first child, and even though I did it for 4 months, I really don't want to breast feed this time around.

I was thinking of giving of breast feeding my baby for the first couple of days and then introducing Cow & Gate forumla instead.

Has anyone breast feed for a couple of days and thenmoved to forumla - I would appreciate any advice ie engorged breast etc...

thanks,

Sophia

Just curious I was out the otherday and had to feed my little one. I ended up going to my car because of the stares. A woman I was with told me not to worry because I was being really discret, she told me a story about a woman that just plopped her nipple out in the middle of church and feed her baby. Also why are people so naive and immature about this?

I gave birth to my son a few weeks ago and I couldn't be happier. However, as I changed his diapers and gave him baths I began to wonder if something was not right. You cannot tell that he has a penis. When I first laid eyes on him I did notice the abnormality but didn't think twice about it because I was overwhelmed with the whole birth itself. You can only see his testes and nothing else around that region. He doesn't have much pubic fat so his penis probably isn't buried underneath there and he's like this 24/7 so it probably isn't due to the temperature. I'm afraid there might have been some sort of hormonal issue while he was in my womb. Neither the doctor nor the nurses mentioned anything to me about his penis while I at the hospital. So I'm not quite sure if there is definitely something wrong or not. My sister also has a son and he did not look like that when he was born. He had a clearly visible and well developed shaft. Anyone out there experience a similar situation before?

My baby is 4 1/2 months and my baby cries allot. We have never let her cry it out and we always attend to her when she needs anything (food, cuddles, sleep, play ect) Shes totally breastfed and it doesnt appear to be related to tummy trouble or pain. She usually appears to cry over boredom, tiredness, frustration and anger. Im not sure what to do. Can this just be her sensative personality or is there something as a parent Im not tuning into?

I noticed my son's jaundice by his yellow eyes around day 4. I took him to his pediatrician and she told me to take him out in the sun for 10 minutes at a time and breastfeed him every 2 hours. She never did a blood test. A week later, his eyes were still yellow and I took him back. She told me the same thing and still didnt do a blood test. She said his case was mild. How would she know if she didnt do a blood test? I told her that I was concerned because I read that jaundice can be very dangerous if left untreated and she told me not to worry about. My son is now 3 weeks and hes still yellow in the eyes and face. Should I get another opinion? Shouldnt he be under lights and just get rid of it? Did this happen with your baby?

my baby is 10 weeks old and for the past 10 weeks i have either nursed him to sleep or cuddled him to sleep, but now his sleeping pattern is changing, he is sleeping better at night but during the day he stays up for an hour then goes back to sleep for an hour and it is really making my day completly upside down. I have been told to just put him down and let him cry himself to sleep, but nobody seems to say how long i should let him cry for, and how long this will last for, I am open to any suggestions that could be helpful

Ever since my niece was born, my sister-in-law has been severely overprotective, which is common of all first-timers I know, but she has admitted to me that she is very unhappy, stressed and depressed about everything lately. This concerns me because I have seen some things that I don't really think are good for my niece. My SIL w
ants to keep her baby on her own schedule (awake) most of the day and that should, in her eyes, make her understand night from day, and I know that it's still a bit too early. She skips her night feedings and is obsessed with a strict 3-4 hour "no less"" feeding schedule of 4 ounces of formula. If it's 9:30 and the baby starts to show late signs of hunger, she'll let her cry till 10. She says her baby must work up her appetite. She slept one day from 8:30 PM to 5:45 AM without waking up, and no food. She's almost 2 months, but this keeping her up and expecting her to eat around my SIL's schedule so my SIL can sleep is outright dangerous this soon. Advice?
