It's 5 am, I'm freaking out. My 2 month old son was laying on his boppy pillow being fed, I fell asleep, and he slipped off of the pillow onto the carpet. He seems okay, but I don't know if he could have a concussion. My husband already left, and I don't know if I should call someone to take me to the hospital or not. My husband took my truck, his is being worked on. Our hospital here is horrible, and I'd probably wait like 11 hours so I hate to take him there unless I need to. Please help. I"m really upset and really scared.

Thanks for the advice, but my doctor doesn't have an emergency number. The only option is the hospital. The doctor doesn't open for four more hours.

Seems most babies take a tumble off the bed at some point in their lives. He should be ok unless he's crying and can't be soothed, or has problems waking from a nap. If he seems lethargic or begins not eating well, you need to take him in....otherwise if he fell on carpet should be ok. Just watch for those signs.

This happened to my daughter at about 3 or 4 months. It scared the CRAP out of me.
In my case, the hospital was just down the road, but I didn't want to take her unless it was necessary.
Does your baby have a knot on its head? Is he acting lethargic or extra sleepy? Did he cry for a really long time or just a short time?
I'm answering this at 8 a.m. and if your baby hasn't shown signs of anything serious I think it just scared him. To be so tiny, babies are not as fragile as they look.

I just asked a couple the other day if their new baby girl had rolled off the bed yet..... really, because I think we all have. My baby rolled off when he was a few months old too. I was scared but he was fine after a little cry and some comforting.

It depends how you feel.... if you see anything abnormal or you are just concerned...go ahead to the doctor or ER.

If you are this scared and worried you need to call your emergency help line at his pediatrician's office. They can tell what signs to look for. But unless he's acting funny he's probably okay. They are babies...not glass. Things accidently happen sometimes. But again....I would call the nurse line just in case you think something is wrong.

If the baby is not crying and sleeping you need not have to worry. Look out for swellings on head, if no swelling no problem if there take a cotton pad make it wet and put it on the swelling hope everything will be fine. and of course at the earlieast show him/her to a Good Doctor.

Mean time Pray to Almighty for the Baby's well being, Yes I will pray for the baby's well being, Ameen

All the Good Luck to you

If your bed is fairly low you probably don't have anything to worry about. Babies are alot tougher than people think. Watch him for any signs of trouble. Keep him awake for awhile to see how he is acting. If you continue to worry, call your pediatrician when they open to see if you can bring him there to be checked rather than to the ER. If the baby is acting funny at all, take him to the ER

check his head for bumps, his arms and legs for any fracture. put a damp washcloth over his head if you're worried about concussion. then if you're still worried wait till you can go to your doctor so he can check on him. but don't panic if there's no indication that he's hurt. just pray that one of his guardian angels was able to catch him before he hit the floor.
