Some more details. I have been told that it is a personality thing that there is nothing I can do about. He gets very intense when it comes to eating, freaks out when I put the bib on him (takes only a few seconds) and reacts somewhat angrily when the bottle is removed for only a few seconds. The way I see this behavior is that the more he does it, the more it makes his belly upset.

I don't think it has anything to do with the mechanics of his bottle or the way I hold him, etc. I really believe it is pshychological on his part. If he is gassy, I give him myelicon, which seems to help with that. I burp him often and keep a schedule on his feedings, make sure he his diaper is changed etc. Sometimes it looks like he tries to eat more than he can handle as he will down 8oz. and get upset at bottle removal even AS he is spitting up! Any suggestions would be helpful. Thanks!

Im having a problem being able to fit two booster seats (with backs) and an infant car seat in the back of my car. Buying a different car is not an option.

Im wondering if anyone knows where I can get a rear facing infant car seat that is 15-16.5 inches in width?? I can only find ones that are 18-23 inches and width.

Web site or store information would be helpful.

I'm looking for a unique baby shower gift for a girlfriend of mine. She & her husband are due to have baby #2 (a boy..they have a 3 year old girl) and some friends are throwing her a small shower. She doesn't know about it, and hasn't registered anywhere. She has all the basics from when her daughter was a baby. I don't want to get clothes because that's what everyone else is probably going to get. I already got her a sling (she likes mine that I still use with my 1 year old). Any ideas?

my 7 month daughter, has never really taken much of her bottles maybe 4 oz on a good time.
she is in the 10-15th percentile.
Today instead of giving her a lunch bottle i put it in her sippy cup, which she drinks real good out of, and let her have her formula that way. she actually drank a bit more than if i would of given her it in a bottle.
Is this okay to do? I was told that she is getting 10 oz less than what she really should be getting, but i can't force her to drink a bottle when she doesn't want it.

My oldest daughter took a bottle till age 2 and drank tons! this one doesn't like a bottle to much, she will take 2-4 oz on a good time. so thats why i am so confused :)

THanks in advance

When ever I am feeding my 9 month old son, he continuously grabs for the spoon. He does fine the first half and the second half of the feeding is when grabs at it. I know this is all a learning process, but should I encourage this behavior? He grabs the spoon and empties everything out, he never gets any in his mouth. He just wants to chew on it. He will get so mad when I don't let him have it or try to take it away. I have even tried to let him hold on to a spoon and I feed him with another one. He still wants the one that I am using. I give him plenty of finger foods to eat by himself and he does pretty good with that. So, should I encourage him when he grabs the spoon like that or not?

I have been using regular bottled water. A nurse at my doctor's office recommended tap water because it has flouride. Is there any other reason I should be using tap water besides the fact that it has flouride in it? I know floride is good for teeth but my daughter does not have any teeth yet. If I do use tap water, then do I boil it? I have never drank tap water. Sometimes in my town the water turns brown for some reason. Or should I use the nursery bottled water?
Because I don't drink tap water I just find it hard to use it in my daughter's formula. Which water is best?

The Parents, Family members and Family friends don't seem to take such an interest in being against circumcision as much as gay men and do take interest in more important, life-threatening issues in the care, treatment and well-being of Mother and child than gay men so why do gay men oppose a very common practice that has very few fatalities and though circumcision may be a pointless and unnecesary cosmetic amputative surgery for when there are more important issues that need taken care of and that need everybody's attention have no meaning for gay men! Why a silly cosmetic amputative surgery and not health care and poverty issues???

it started yesterday, he woke up around 11am and cried for 5min and then he threw up semi thick yellow vomit, he hadnt eaten since he went to sleep the night before, but the wierd part is that he seems fine, had he not thrown up i wouldnt have known something was wrong, he happy and being himself completely, after he vomited he was okay, but i still called his ped immediately, she told me to get pedia. and for him not to eat for up to 24hrs, so we got the pedia. he loved it but threw it up, so we tried gatorade which stayed down since, except for 15min ago, but he did drink alot so his stomach was hard, and about 15min after that he let out a huge b.m. which was loose but pasty and it was dark reddish brown, so is that considered blood n his stool? someone plz help, should i call the doc again, cuz he seems fine, he's laughin, playin, no fever, or stomach discomfort... i duno what exactly to look for w blood n stool, would all of the stool be red or will the stool have its own color

My son is 8 days old. My milk came in the day after he was born. He nurses 20 minutes at each breast every 2.5hours during the day and every 4 hours at night. I pump twice a day for relief of my overfull breasts, as advised by the lactation consultant where i had my son. I pump about 10oz twice a day. Im freezing the extra milk. I dont remember having this much milk with my daughter!
I would just like to know how long it should take before i dont have such an abundant supply? Thanks!
