The baby would be the same nationality as his parents. If they were 2 different nationalities, he would be both. I believe you meant what would the baby's country of origin be, where he would have citizenship. That would be the country the baby 1st sets foot in (where the plane lands), as well as whatever country his parents have citizenship. This is called duel citizenship. Here is an example: Parents are Italian and German. They were both born in the US and have full citizenship there. They are going on a trip to visit Grandparents in Germany, and while on the plane, mom gives birth over international waters. Once the plane lands, the family goes to the hospital in Germany, and the baby is registered as a citizen of Germany and issued a birth certificate. Once all are well enough to go home, baby is issued an infant passport, and flys back to the US where his parents apply for an American social security number. Because his parents are both American citizens, he is issued 1 and becomes an American citizen as well. He now has duel citizenship for America and Germany. He has all the rights of an American while in America, and all the rights of a German in Germany.

Hi,

1) It depends on the country your airline at during the time of birth.

2) For some country, even though your child were born in their country, they won't allow your son to their nationality.

If you were in the United States of America during your flight, Congratulations!

i do no longer think of this is ever going to ensue, i've got faith the 1st infant would be born on Mars or the moon or on a thank you to the two place. i assume area infants must be seen extraterrestrial beings with a sort of duel citizenship when you consider that their mothers and fathers could be from earth. Oh boy i would be sure it now, Earthers hate Marsies using fact Marsies think of they are so difficult or Lunars hate Earthers using fact Earth stinks. On and on blah blah. LoL!!

the same as his parents, or his mother, if the parents were from different places. And his last name would be Delta, SW, or Continental, depending on which airline he was traveling on.... fyi.
