I bathed my daughter everyday at that time. It's best, cause you can start getting the babies into a good bedtime schedule. Bathe, massage w/ lotion, pj's, read, cuddle, pray, and be put to bed.

I have a 4 month old also I bathe her every 2-3 days because they dont get that dirty, unless she spits up on herself then it's bath night for sure. But giving him or her a bath every night will dry out the skin and you dont want that.

I did every night with my 3 year old when she was a baby as part of bedtime routine, and could get her to go to sleep without a fight at about the same time each evening. I just did bath, then lotion massage, clean jammies and she was set. My now 1 yr old, got a bath every other day and he was fine also. I think it really depends. If they get all sweaty you will want to bathe them. Also the main thing to watch out for is milk on their necks and behind their ears.

I usually give my 5 month old son a bath every other day. Sometimes I'll wait longer. You really don't have to bathe them often. It's actually not very good for their skin. Now, if he has a big bowel movement :) or gets dirty for some other reason (spit up, food, etc.) I'll clean him immediately. But usually every other day, or sometimes every 2 days if he manages to stay clean.

I bathed my son every 2 days until he was mobile and then its been every other day and still is for the most part unless he gets really dirty or swims or wears sunscreen...at 4 months you dont want to bath them everyday it could cause their skin to get dry and irritable!!! so ever couple days should do and just move it up once you baby can move around cause then she/he will be getting a bit dirtier!! On the days you dont bath make sure to wipe your baby down to "clean" her/him up!

Bathing is primarily playtime. Babies don't get dirty enough to need a daily bath. For busy parents this is good news. Twice a week (especially in the winter) is enough bathing, providing you clean your baby's diaper area sufficiently well each time there is a bowel movement. Daily spot-cleaning in areas that get particularly sweaty, oily, or dirty, such as behind the ears, in the neck folds, in the creases of the groin, and in the diaper area are helpful.

If you make the bath part of the daily routine it helps the baby establish a good sleep patter, It should be like this every night: Bath, Bottle, Bed

Every other day is fine. BUt keep in mind it is summertime and at night before you put your baby to bed a bath may relax your baby more. I have 4 kids and at that age in summer did that and they slept better.

At that age my daughter had ( still does) eczema and the dr told us as long as she isnt covered in her dinner or had a real dirty day outside that every other day was perfect.
They arent like older kids who go all day and get sweaty and icky they dont do a whole lot.
But it is really your judgement. Some do it nightly or in the mornings as part of routine but if you have concerns or other reasons like we did it would be ok every other day or so.

I always bathed my babies every day because i like them to be clean and fresh and plus, they like baths and I thought they slept better with that as part of their nightly routine.

If you are worried about dry skin, just use a little baby lotion as you put her into her pj's.

Best,
DN
