I woke up this morning and went to get my 8 month old son, when I found small MOUSE droppings in his crib near his mouth. Immediately, I called poison control to see what I should do in this situation, where they simply told me to give him a bath and wash his sheets with soap and water. Being the biggest germ freak I know, I don't believe some soap is all it takes to kill hantavirus, among the other disgusting diseases mice carry. My first question is why, since I never leave food out and my house is not filthy by any means, do I have a mouse after my baby boy; and how would any of you handle this situation in terms of how to clean/sterilize his toys/bedding/the rest of the house? I've already contacted Orkin and they're coming by at noon, and there has been no evidence of a rodent problem (droppings) until now. Helpful answers highly appreciated.
