My brother and his Wife and there two children a little girl age 2 and a little boy age 8 months went on a trip to czech republic where my sister inlaw is from and we heard that my neice had a seizure she is in the hospital now and we dont know anything. We heard from another family member and they dont have all the details. She had a seizure in 2005 when they went to czech also. Is there something about the czech republic? Do you think she will be ok? Please pray for her and for all the other babies who need help. Thank You so Much!!!

OK , I believe in the power of prayer so I will pray for her & them

she should be checked by a Dr. to make sure
she is not epaleptic , that MIGHT be what is
causing her to have the seizure ( my Grandmom
had them due to that) if that is the case they have meds. to help

best of luck & hope she is well soon

I'm not sure about the czech republic, any # of things can trigger seizures in an epileptic. Could be the time change and her sleep isn't regulated. The pressure in the cabin on the airplane trip trigger a seizure. My bet is on the time change...children are very sensitive to changes in their sleep patterns...and if its out of wack then I'd imagine that would trigger it.
I have a friend who is epilecptic and if he doesn't get enough sleep he'll have a seizure, also moving christmas lights set him off too. Took along time to figure out the pattern.

I will pray for your neice. I dont think there is anything about the Czech Republic that causes seizures. It may be that the traveling and time changes affected her. It is a very long flight and her sleeping may have been affected from not being in her cozy bed at home. Whatever it may be, they have very good doctors there and she will get good care.

I personally think that it might be the plane ride to get there that causes this. Being on a plane for extended periods of time can cause ANYONE to have issues, especially a young child. It has something to do with cabin pressure and the effects that that has on your brain and circulation. I would definitely look to this as the cause, though I am not a doctor, I am pretty perceptive as to how the body works and the impacts that your surroundings have on your system. Good luck and many prayers for your family!
