Yes, both are safe. Just be sure to follow the dosing instructions carefully. Also, with the tylenol if you use the grape kind you may notice a little bit of purple in his next poo this is normal. And with the mylicon, use it sparringly as it causes constipation in a lot of babies.

Alot of doctors frown on giving such a young baby tylenol but I did because if they need it, they need it.you go by the weight on the box and if your baby is in the weight class that says ask a doctor then the first line on the dropper(the smallest amount) thats how much you will give them. It's on a chart at the doctors office next time you go. Mylicon is very safe no matter how old, just follow the directions and you'll be fine.

mylecon has no known side effects. Infant tylenol is available and dosing charts are available as others has have stated, but I would urge you to use only when absolutly necessary and with your pediatricians guidance. It also matters whether your baby is a premie or not. See, infants have relatively immature livers and tylenol is metabolized by the liver. It's better than ibuprofen which is metabolized by kidneys (which are even more immature than the liver in infants). 1 month is very new and really the only reason to be using tylenol is for a high high fever, at which point your pediatrician should be involved anyway. Hope this helps

You can give your baby infants liquid tylenol and infants mylicon. Even at the same time if you need too.
From the bottle dosing chart
Mylicon
infants under 2 under 24 lbs 0.3 ml
infants over 2 over 24 lbs 0.6 ml
Tylenol
under 2 under 24 lbs Ask doctor (0.4 ml as per my doc)
age 2-3 24-35 lbs 1.6 ml
DO NOT GIVE MOTRIN TO BABIES UNDER 6 MONTHS! ... it can cause unknown heart problems to intensify.
My daughter had her pediatrician appt today to get her second set of shots at 3 1/2 months so we talked about dosing of over the counter medicine today. She told me my 3 1/2 month old could now have 0.8 ml.

Gas drops are ok - the dosage is on the label.
Tylenol - the label says to consult a doctor. I had my daughter at the pediatrician today and they told me they don't like to give Tylenol to infants under 2 months of age.

doesn't sound too good, because his still a baby his immune system wouldn't have gotten used to everything, your best going to a doctor in case something develops. but it could be at that point where his starting to get his two central bottom & Two central top teeth. which is most painful when teething which could be causing all the crying. if it is teething simple ways to help soothe the pain is by massaging the gums with your finger, also letting him suck on cold and wet washcloths help (just put the cloths in the freezer for a couple of hours) or even a frozen bagel. but don't resort to medicine since some parents can find it hard to tell if their baby is teething until the tooth is there. but if you doubt that this is the case i would go see a doctor.

Tylenol, not without your doctor's okay. Read the label. Mylicon, yes.
Talk to your doctor!

Yes you can. However you have to go by weight guidelines. If your doc is busy, call a pharmacist, they have the weight/amount you can give the baby.
Some docs when you join, give you the weight guidelines for tylenol in their booklet.
