He was very thirsty right afterwards and I'm wondering if I should call the doctor or if I should let him be and feed him dinner?

We usually don't let him have anything after it's been about an hour of being prepared, because the formula can says it goes bad so fast, but, I think he pulled one of the bottles from the floor that fell off the counter top.

To those that are asking if it's beer, umm, no ... baby, bottle /= beer. Formula, B/M, juice, water maybe, but not beer. Thanks!

Don't worry too much. Babies are exposed to all things of germs and usually have great immune systems. A sip probably tasted terrible! But do call the doctor if any signs of sickness occur - such as constant vomit, fever, lack of responsiveness or more than usual dirty diapers.

If he only had a sip, he'll be ok. Just make sure he gets plenty of water and help flush out that little bit. My son has done that quite a few times, and have had to learn not to put his bottle/sippy cup in bed with him. Just make sure you feed him before he goes to bed, and then take the bottle or sippy cup straight to the sink afterwards to prevent that happening again. Good luck!

What was in the bottle? And even if it was a baby bottle with formula what the hell was it doing on the floor where he could get to it??
Call your doctor just to be safe. I'm sorry - I can't believe you're wasting time asking this question here.

I would go ahead and feed him. Keep in mind that as soon as he is able he will start to eat a whole lot of things that he finds on the floor, that year old cookie he finds in the toy box, another kids food, your food, the dogs food.

Lock up all of the poisons in your house. Put the cat and dog food in containers with lids.

Good Luck and relax, remember you made it this far, so will he.

Well....what was in the bottle?? Old milk? Booze? Antifreeze?
Assuming you're talking about one of his baby bottles, the worst that could probably happen is that it could make him sick to his tummy, maybe throw up a little.... He should be just fine, but if you're that worried, call the doctor.

a bottle of what? Formula? Beer? If it was old formula it will be fine, it takes awhile for milk to spoil to the point where it makes you sick.

well no one else is saying it so i will .......

If your baby drinks old milk from a bottle he/she can develop THRUSH!!! now i had a neighbor who left nasty bottles around and her 1 yr old got it bad its not something plesant...

if this happened ONCE i think he/she will be ok just feed him/her and if she/he is sick call the doctor.... because of course u can get diarrhea or a stomach ache as well.

He will probably be fine. My son did the same thing once when he was little. I called the dr. and they said it should be o.k. Just watch him and if he does get sick, make sure to keep him hydrated. If bad, call the dr. My son never did get sick.

Hehe...yes, it's fine...probably yucky, but definately OK. Mine has done that before and I just immediately gave her a drink of something else to wash it down.

let him be he will be just fine as long as he didnt get too much of it. if it was just a sip no need to worry. my daughter does that sometimes and its just to get the dryness out of her mouth. for the future keep old dirty bottles off the floor and out of reach. good luck.
