i have a beautiful two and a half month old baby and lots and lots of milk. i have been suffering with this infeccion for a month now and end up in the hospital with iv antibiotics. honestly i can't take it anymore but the doctor won't prescribe the pill because he say it may cause a stroke, a risk that at this point am willing to take. please tell me the pros and cons of that pill and your experiences with it, thanks a lot

I'm 24 weeks and I am looking to find a breast pump that will have a large 'cone' (the part that goes over your nipples). My nipples aren't big around, but when they are hard the tips are big and I had a problem with the sensory bumps rubbing (raw- ouch!) really bad inside the cone, to where I stopped pumping my milk earlier than I wanted to and dried up too soon with my last baby.
I am a business owner and cannot BF 24/7...

How do I stop my new rocking chair from moving all over the rug!! I keep backing into the wall or moving sideways and hitting babies crib. EEEK every time she almost falls asleep I have to move the darn chair. HELP!!

I am a new dad we just had my son in Jan. she already had a son who I treat like mine but I wasn't there when he was as young as my son, I work and she stays home but on my days off I am really tired and tend to fall asleep during the day (I work 12 hour shifts 4 nights a week) and I do the little things like changing diapers and and feeding but when both boys starting getting cranky and crying I don't know what to do, I get frustrated and she always ends up calming them I feel bad because I can't really do it and she deals with it all day everyday what can I do to fix this and make up for sleeping when I could be helping, I feel like a bad father and its hurting our relationship

We have a 8 month old baby and were invited to a wedding out of town. We asked if was okay to bring our daughter and was told yes. Greetings:

I am in need of some help, my baby boy is currently in the NICU and I am using a manual pump and just received an electric pump; here is my question," What can I do to increase my milk supply?" (A week and a half ago) I was producing almost 2oz. and now barely 1oz. my left breast is barely contributing, while my right breast is doing most of the work.
I'm feeling a little frazzled, not sure what to do?

My son has had his 3rd ear infection in three months...I feel every month he is getting one...I feel so bad because he keeps going on meds for it...What are other parents doing with there babies that are getting ear infections a lot...My husband had major ear problems as a kid. Several sets of tubs and earring loss due to the major problems he had. I don't want my son to go down this road. I feel every time I turn around he has a double ear infectioni. I bought the earcheck thing to be able to check his ears to make sure there is no fluid present...What r other parents thoughts..Please let me add I know 3 ear infections isn't a whole lot but it is something that is starting to concern me since there is a history w/ my son and also my husband having such major problems as a child..Thanks for your thoughts.. :) My son is 8 months old

I always wanted to have children and I want to have them one after the other (with a less time as possible)

We're trying to choose a suitable pram and lots of the advice given says that infants should be laid absolutely flat in it. Why is this? I've read things that say sitting them up slightly is bad for their backs but I've not found any evidence that this is in fact true. Also that it helps digestion; how can this be? They feed in any position from horizontal to virtually vertical.
Points go to the most sound scientific reasoning, especially if reference/evidence provided.

You cant use the bottle warmer as per the instruction manual and the bottle is so thick it takes 7 minutes to warm up a bottle in hot water and on top of it it leaks from the bottom and is hard to wash.

I am going back to drop ins !!

im a new mother, my daghter's father is abusive, and i dont trust him! everytime i call him, hes on the phone with another female and rushes me off the phone just to talk on the phone with this ceratin female. his name is not on the birth certificate and he wants to get custody of her and im scared. i never put him on their because during my pregnancy he didnt help me and he wasnt their during the delivery. i took him to child support. and im waiting but meanwhile, he refuses to send he money for expenses and necessasties. he smokes(marijuana) and drinks. what do i do? i need help im desperately, he doenst have a stable home his grandfather is a crackhead and his mother is menatally sick. i dont want him to see her nor touch her i hate him hes not worth it he doesnt even make a scarifice to see her or nothing.

So they say not to put rice cereal in baby's bottles before he's ready and it wont fill him up more and wont help him sleep through the night..

YET my son is 2 months, due to reflux last night we tried putting a little bit in his bottle. he didnt spit up, and slept 5 hours, woke up, then another peaceful 5 hours!!! ..

my son is 2 weeks and a day old and today i pumped for the first time. from both breast i got only 2.5 ounces and i thought wow thats good! i didn't think he would drink all of it and he did in like 5 mins and was still hungry. my mother said babies his age only eat about 2 ounces a feeding. well usually if im just breast feeding i feel like i am feeding him constantly. and its not like an every hour thing...its like a every half an hour thing. he had one good nap today and thats it. he barely sleeps. ANYWAY i just felt like he wasn't getting enough from me so i made a bottle of formula. it was a little under 4 ounces and he drank all of that! everyone says that breast feeding is beast for baby so i was wondering if by giving him formula is it going to mess up anything or is it fine? i feel like i have to give my breast some time to build up some milk.
