Girl, i was in your boat. Number one - go to the department of human services and get that baby on medicaid. You can also apply for food stamps, families first, and a lot of other great programs at DHS. Also, at your local health department, you can get put on the program WIC. You get formula until they are one, then you can start getting juice, tuna, peanut butter, bread, milk, etc until the baby is 5! Just call and make an appointment at DHS and your local health department! Good luck! *hugs from a mom whos been there and made it through* :D

WIC is a great start. I know you might not want to go this route but welfare could atleast get you on your feet. You dont have to be on it forever just until you can get yourself finacially stable. Medicaid for insurance. I would go to your local health department, they could probably get you pointed in the right direction. To find cheap baby stuff go to once upon a child. They have great hand me down stuff there. I really wish you and your little one the best. Love your baby with all you have even in these hard times. God bless you.

Usually state welfare is the first place people tend to go. But the father would be the prime answer... if they are man enough to make a baby, they should be man enough to take care of a baby.

Contact Social Services in your county. If you need clothing, a crisis center (any of those right-to-life places) should be able to provide it free.

WIC and Medicaid and they will tell you other places to go as well depending on if you qualify for daycare, food stamps, and more.
