Was anybody induced? ive heard it hurts really bad, but im really excited to have my son finally, i will be going in tomomrow night to get my cervix softend, and then progress to being induced monday morning, and im wondering, what feeling hit you when you held that brand new baby in your arms right after you had them? im really scared, because i always thought you know, painless birth, the baby just poped out, ok, not really, but i mean, its like i dont know, im just worried now!

Anything to help ease fears??

i want to try breastfeeding, and dr recomends putting baby to breast imediatly, and so any tips?

His head is covered in bloody scratches but it's really hard to cut his nails because his fingernails are so tiny plus he wriggles so much...

I tried scratch mits, but he pulled them off and woke up with scratches on his face and head. I put long baby-socks on his hands, right up to his elbow and he even pulled them off.

I tried filing his nails with a nail file but it didn't get them short enough. I tried biting his nails with my own teeth but it woke him up and he wriggled.

I'm all out of ideas... :(

OK, we adopted our son 15 years ago.
Every time Anglina Jollet adopts a FOREIGN child, I grit my teeth! What is wrong with adopting a USA child?
Oh, that's right; not as much plublicity.
When we were trying to adopt; ANY SOURCE was contacted. Foreign children adoptions, we were told, required 4 things:
$10,000 bank check
$10,000 bank check (2nd check)
$10,000 bank check (3rd check)
You fly to the adoptive country, get an apartment, sit and WAIT - 3 MONTHS. The first time they contact you, give them the first check. The second time they contact you, with the child, give them the second check. The third time is when you and the child - leave. Give them the third check before you go...
I laughed loud at the woman who did the foreign adoptions on this one. She wore diamonds and drove a brand new mercedes.

Jollet can fly over in 1-3 days, pick up her child, and then leave.
Sure, she is not treated any different than others...

Right!

i look after an 11 month old boy who constantly cries but with no tears..even after a sleep, food, a cuddle and clean nappy. He is extrememly loud when he 'cries' and 9 time sout of 10 stops crying when picked up. he is rocked to sleep and at times will only sleep for an hour all day. his mother doesnt seem to think anything is wrong. He gets himself so worked up, screaming and crying, i have sat next to him on a pillow and made him stay until he has calmed down, then he sits up and is happy and laughing, at the click of fingers hes a different child! Do you think he is just attention seeking or do you think there may be something deeper?

Almost every night this week, my four month old has vomited right after the last nursing session, right before bed. He feeds, I burp him and rock him a little, keep him upright for a good while, and then as soon as his little head hits the crib sheet, his eyes open and he begins to spit up. And it's not just a little tiny bit of spit up, it's a decent amount. He's a big baby, he's not losing weight, and he rarely cries after it happens. In fact, he easily puts himself to sleep right after. But why is this happening? It's such a strange pattern, as he's not vomiting after any other feed during the day. Could it be something I am eating? Is he overeating and as a result, vomiting? Help!

My 7 month old goes to sleep at 6:30pm. He wakes around 2:30am and I feed him 3-4 ounces of formula and then he sleeps to about 6am. Is this the best I can hope for at this age or can I drop that 2:30am feeding and if so how?

My son is five months old and is breaking out with little fine red bumps. When I took him to the doctor about two months ago they said that he has Eczema. I was wondering how do I get the little fine red bumps to go away.

In fact, he has been sleeping in our bed for the past month since I grew tired of getting up and rocking him back to sleep a few times per night. I need some suggestions of some tried and true methods of getting toddler to stay asleep in his own bed.

when I was 24 weeks pregnant, I went into preterm labor, and they stopped it with magnesium sulfate, and gave me the steroid shots to benefit her lungs. they sent me home and 5 weeks later my water broke. I was put in the hospital on strict bed rest for the remainder of my pregnancy. I delivered 5 weeks later. and ever since I've been really sad, that I couldn't really experience all that pregnancy had to offer. I miss being pregnant, having the belly, going out in public to show it off, I miss the kicks, and the hiccups, and the doctor appointments. reading how my baby is developing, hearing the heartbeat, and seeing the ultrasound pictures. I miss it all. especially today, because it's my due date, and I have a 6 week old daughter. I love her more than anything, but I just feel like my pregnancy was cut too short. I am glad I have her, but today I should be worrying when she is going to come. and all I was ever able to worry about was how long they'd be able to hold off delivery.

How much does it cost to have a baby? Hubby and I do not have insurance and we would rather pay out of pocket then to get gov. help . . . I planned on 10,000 now I am thinking that may not be enough. I don't dare to start ttc until I have all of my ducks in a row. How much money do we need to put into our savings before we are ready for th dr. visits?

My daughter was put in the hosptial for GERD which in english is known as acid reflux. I was told that I had to measure her feedings. I was only breastfeeding her and she had only had a bottle a few times if needed. Then when she went in they said no more breastfeeding that I had to pump every three hours and supplement with formula for the rest of the feeding. She is going to be 4 months in two weeks and I had planned on weaning her then. I am only able to get 2 ounces of breast milk at every feeding I think it should be more then that. I have been drinking lots of fluids and nothing seems to be helping.

Would it be ok since she is already getting more formula to just wean her off of the breast milk?
