My 10 month old daughter just got her first tooth a few weeks ago. What do I do to take care of it? Do I have to brush it, or just clean it with a wash cloth like I did before she got teeth?

My little girl is 4 months old. I am trying to think of some activities for us to do when she is getting sleepy but not ready for bed yet. If I try her jumperoo or play mat it seems to be to much stimulation. If I try to read to her she seems to bored. Any ideas would be helpful. I am also thinking of quitting my job to stay at home with her and any other activities would be appreciated as well. What do you do with your 4 month old?

My best friend is in the hospital awaiting the arrival of her second daughter. She is going to be in there at least a week before the baby is born due to complications, and she is on bed rest. You can only watch so much tv! What can I bring her to keep her occupied until the bundle of joy arrives? Her birthday also falls during this "vacation" Any suggestions is appreciated!

I am due to have a baby on the 6th May and My fiancee and I have discussed the fact that we would like the first week or so just to ourselves to get to know our little one (our first born) and get used to being parents (and recover!). We really don't want to upset our friends and family (for his family it will be the first Grandchild, Great Grandchild, Neice/Nephew etc) but we anticipate that as soon as I get out of hospital there will be an endless stream of visitors. I am happy for them to visit me in hospital as my parents will be travelling 157 miles when I give birth but they have insisted they want to leave when I come out of Hospital and come back 2 weeks later when my fiancee has returned to work to help me out(they understand completely how we feel) so it really is just his family we need to discuss this with and friends. Are we being rude or did anyone else feel this way? Any advice would be great esp if you have any ideas on how we go about talking to them.

I know very little about babies. WE're getting a 5 1/2 month old as part of a sibling group for emergency foster care for the weekend. Do you think he'll be too big to sleep in a bassinette? We have a choice of that or my husband's old crib. (which his little sister, who is 10 years younger than him slept in, so he knows more about babies than I do)

Why do so many people think it acceptable to change a baby's diaper in a restaurant booth or on the table. I saw a woman doing just that today at McDonalds. She stank the place out. How gross!!! Have you seen similar or am I just over-reacting?

My baby girl turns 3 months soon and i am breastfeeding her. i spend all day with her being latched on to me. I don't mind it but by main concern is that she is not finding enough milk cause she when she is drinking she throws her head back while she still has the nipple in her mouth and she gets really angry, it's like she is not finding enough milk. she has put on 2 kgs over her birth weight which is good but i am worried that my milk is finishing. do you have any tips on how to increase my flow? I express once every day in the morning after she would have had her feed. I freeze whatever i express in case of an emergency.

As of late, he is refusing the cereal? Before he would gobble it up within minutes. Now he seems to just hate it. Any reason for this after two successful months of feeding rice once a day?

When my son's diaper has been become soiled with urine, the scent is sooo strong. Is this common with every diaper or just Huggies? Does anyone else have this problem with Huggies?

My 12 month old son now purses his lips and turns his head when I try to feed him anything but even when I give him finger foods he barely eats, mostly plays. He's still breast feeding but I'm concerned about his iron stores. He's not eating solids really. Anyone had a baby become anemic? What should I watch out for? Any advice on how to get him to eat?? Thanks.

She's gone through about 10 diapers in less than an hour due to urinating so much. She's only about a month old. Why would she urinate so much?

My 2 week old baby is scratching up her face because her little nails are long and uneven. She was a month premature, and because her hands are so small, i can't find any scratch mits that will fit her. I tried to clip her nails with a baby nail clipper, but I accidentally pinched her finger and hurt her, I felt so bad that I'm not using them again. I'm afraid using a nail file will hurt her just as much. Any mom's have any suggestions?
