My 10 month old daughter just got her first tooth a few weeks ago. What do I do to take care of it? Do I have to brush it, or just clean it with a wash cloth like I did before she got teeth?

Well they have this stuff at the store...tooth and gum cleaner for babys and it has a little slip thing you put on youer finger to wipe it up..

You definetly want to keep it clean...but I wouln't use toothepast if she is going to eat it.

Wipe it with a washclothe daily.

I have a 10 month old, too. We brush her teeth every morning and night with her toothbrush and special baby toothpaste. It is teaching her good habits. She loves it!

The toothbrush is especially made for babies and so is the toothpaste. I only use about a half a pea size dab of the toothpaste. It's actually a clear gel and it is safe to swallow.

Brush it, they make baby toothpaste and tooth brushes, start now so she gets use to brushing her teeth. My cousin started brushing her daugthers teeth once it came in, now her little one is constantly brushing her teeth, she loves it. When you ask her what she wants for her birthday, xmas, whatever she wants a new tooth brush.

Just clean it as you have been doing. When she has more teeth and starts chewing food you can start gently brushing them gently with a soft childs toothbrush.

You can do either one. Both work well, but since it's only one the wash cloth would probably be easier.

Wow, you are a good mom. I've never bothered wtih my kids teeth until they are about 2 years old, and they are fine. I think you are just supposed to keep wiping it with a washcloth for a while yet.
