A baby that is mixed with asian blood can have a Mongolian spot. Some can be small and pale while others can look like a large, dark bruise. They go away after a few months. My kids are american caucasian and filipino. they both had the spot and it went away.

My son has no Asian in him whatsoever and he was born with one. I thought it was a bruise on his rear end until I asked the doctor about it and she said it was Mongolian spot. I was told it would go away by the time he turned 1 and he's almost 3 and it's still there. Doesn't matter, it's just odd because his Pediatrician told me they get them when they have ethnicity in their blood, everyone in my family is German, Welsh, or Cherokee.
