Both the things are equally important.
your relation with child doesn't start after she has taken birth its from the time of conception.that why only mothers thinking, her enviorment ,eatings ,liking, etc. everything effect baby in womb .Baby starts sensing ,hearing, moving inside womb only.her brain takes shape their, nutrents provided during pregnancy effects a lot,
similarly upbringing after birth is also important .
All in all starting from the day of conception till the time person has matured ,this duration is importat and effects child brain & its developement

I think personally it is the upbringing from childbirth to adolescent. Children watch, learn and experience things from the day they are born, the bond with the mother is the breastfeeding and looking into the eyes. The rhythmic beat of the mother's heart while the child is on the breast is soothing, as that is what the baby is used to in the womb.

Your child is you as you are with culture, it is learnt and accepted, and as the brain is constantly growing your inherent traits are picked up and learnt.

Personality is not inbred in your genes, it is how you treat and teach your child. However perfection is not one of our human traits, and mistakes are made, and that is how we all learn.

personality is something they are born with. two children can be born in the same home... both children can see their father or mother do the nicest thing ever and the worst thing ever. One child will be affected and remember the worst thing.. the other the best thing. My brother and I were raised in abusive home and both turned out TOTALLY different... we can't relate or even seem to vaule the other persons life...

I think both are important. but especially the upbringing from their young age. kids are like sponges, so whatever you teach them will be with them for life.

What are you referring to exactly? There are some things that are inherited and others that are "brought up by circumstance".
