I find that people with the more expensive cars are the worst offenders. I guess they feel that as long as they know what ther`e doing it`s okay. I also find these people making a left turn, signal only when the light turns green.

I just had my baby on 2/20th. She was given some ready to feed Similac formula at the hospital, but I also recieved a big canister of Similac powdered formula as a gift from some relatives. For the powdered stuff I will need to mix it with water and what I've been doing is boiling water, then letting it cool to room temperature before mixing it w/ the powder in the bottle. I stored the rest of the cooled/boiled water in pitchers in the fridge. How long is this water good for? Or should I boil a new batch every day? Also, just wondering about the tap water, some replied the other day saying that they use plain warm tap water to prepare their babies bottles. Is this really safe for newborns? I'll probably just go ahead and keep boiling my babies water just to be safe but was just curious about how many of u actually did use water straight from the tap for your newborns.

ive had this whole chicken in my freezer and i wanted to eat it but since it was solid frozen i let it sit and then i forgot about it so it sat whole day and eventually went back into the freezer. it's been in the freezer about 1-2months now and i just took it out yesterday so i can finally eat it. but my mom said it could have rot or gone bad cause i left it out for the whole day. so how do i know if the whole chicken is not safe to eat.

I'm 21 weeks pregnant and I keep feeling this "flicking" in my lower stomach. Like when you take your middle finger and flick it off your thumb .. I'm feeling that on my inner lower stomach. Is that the baby kicking? I seem to only feel it when I'm sitting at my desk or relaxing at home. It's kind of like a flutter ...

it's my first baby .. I don't know what to look for :)

Thanks!

At the beginning, he was eating the Similac Neosure 22 calorie, and my pediatrician recommended he stay on that. Well, then I had a $7 off coupon for Enfamil products, so I bought the Enfamil 22 calorie equivalent called Enfacare, and he did fine on that as well. At the last ped appt, she told me he could switch to Nestle Good Start Supreme, which I have now gone through one can of, and he is doing well on that as well. Then I read that most premature or low birthweight babies do better on the high calorie formula for the first nine months to a year. I asked my ped about it and she said that the Good Start was fine because he is gaining weight well and his blood tests were good. She liked the Good Start because it is easy to digest like the Enfacare or Neosure. My question is, do you think it would be all right to occasionally give him the Enfacare or the Neosure when I have a good coupon? I know that sounds awful, but if it's okay to switch, every little bit helps, right??

ok, my daughter's doctor is out this week, and she happens to get a mild case of diahria. I have been giving her electrolyte water, and she seems to be getting better, but when i introduce a formula bottle (Enfamil Gentle-Ease) she seems to have a diahria diaper. But if i dont give her one, then she seems fine. I have a feeling its the milk based formula. Should i just go ahead and skip the bottles and go with a more regular diet, like when she turns 1. Does anyone have any good suggestions or if you have been through something simliar before, please tell me! Thanks ahead of time

I delivered a 29 week old baby boy on January 21, and so far things are going good. But 2 days ago his doctor told me they has put him on Ritalin to make him want to eat more and gain weight quicker. I've been reading up on the drug, and now I'm not so sure I want him on it. The only reason he is gaining weight is because he has the munchies! What's going to happen when I bring him home and he isn't getting Ritalin anymore and he won't eat and he crys because he wants drugs? Is there anyone out there that has had this happen to their baby? What did you do? Any opinions welcome, thank you. :)

My 2 month old son wakes up about 4 hours after his last feeding crying. I change him and feed him but sometimes he only eats for 5-10 min and then falls asleep. But then when I put him back in his crib he cries. I think he just wants to be held because if I try to feed him he just falls asleep again. I do not want him to sleep with us all the time because I am going back to work in a week and want him in his own room. What should I do- try to wake him more and feed him or try and get him to sleep (any tips on doing either would be appreciated)? Thanks!
