When I was in labor with my daughter,we didn't realize she was stuck so I kept pushing to no avail and she ended up being delivered by c-section.When she was out, she had a red mark across her forehead-apparently her sweet little forehead had been pressed up against my pelvic bone the entire time! She just turned 1, and the mark has diminished greatly but is still visible. Her pediatrician said it was "fat necrosis"-in other words, the fat cells in her forehead skin were pressed down and "died off" in that place on her forehead. She said she did not know if it would ever go away entirely or not, nor did she seem to think there would be any cream that would help either. 1) Has anyone ever experienced this with their child and what happened? and 2) Based on your own medical opinion, is there anything topical that would *pretty much* guarantee diminishing or erasing it? (It looks like just a whitish little place on part of her forehead- visible more at certain angles.) Thank you so much! :)
