My son is 6 months old. He was born 2 months early so his correctional age is 4 months. I'm not sure if that's really relevant to my question but.......I've been giving him cereal and baby food, he loved it at first. He got a cold and an ear infection and I stopped feeding him the baby food until he got better. It was for about a week. But now he won't eat any cereal or baby food at all. He cries and screams and turns red until I give in and give him his bottle. How do I get him to eat cereal and baby food again??

I started with fruit and my doctor said to give him meats and veggies first so I've switched to those but on the meat he gags so darn bad. I don't know what to do. Any suggestions would be helpful. Thanks.

When I was in labor with my daughter,we didn't realize she was stuck so I kept pushing to no avail and she ended up being delivered by c-section.When she was out, she had a red mark across her forehead-apparently her sweet little forehead had been pressed up against my pelvic bone the entire time! She just turned 1, and the mark has diminished greatly but is still visible. Her pediatrician said it was "fat necrosis"-in other words, the fat cells in her forehead skin were pressed down and "died off" in that place on her forehead. She said she did not know if it would ever go away entirely or not, nor did she seem to think there would be any cream that would help either. 1) Has anyone ever experienced this with their child and what happened? and 2) Based on your own medical opinion, is there anything topical that would *pretty much* guarantee diminishing or erasing it? (It looks like just a whitish little place on part of her forehead- visible more at certain angles.) Thank you so much! :)

I know it is early, but when the my child grows up and is able to understand about having a baby, and that stuff.... and when he asks about when he was concieved and everything....should i tell him he was an accident or would that make him feel unloved?

My son is 2 weeks old tomorrow, his umbilical cord has not fallen off yet, and it bleeds sometimes. The blood never gushes, but it will... ooze? out from around the stump. It doesnt seem to bother him, but there is an awful lot more blood than I'd like. Is this normal? he doesn't see the doctor untill next friday. Should I take him in earlier, or is the bleeding okay?

I'm going to be a first time mom in June and I know the basics of things I will need but I still always have feelings that I might forget something that I need, as I've never done this before. Can anyone direct me to a good list of things or list some things? Thanks a lot.

My daughter is 10 months old and she is eating solid foods, drinking water and breast feeding. I have only heard that I should wait until she is a yearold before giving her cows milk but I just dont understand why. She, takes sips from it from her dad at dinner and it doesnt upset her stomach or anything. So would it be really bad to give her a sippy cup of it?

My daughter is breastfed ( I don't know if thats relevant) and also uses a sucky once in a while. I feel guilty when she falls asleep with it. Like she should be falling asleep at the boob. Do you think she knows the differance? Would she not take it if she was hungry? Again, she doesnt use it often, and shes only 7 weeks old.

My 6 mos. old son ate his rice cereal just great before... he is a wonderful eater in general. He eats his fruits and veggies just great also. Lately, though, he's been grunting and spitting when I feed him the rice cereal. I'll switch to something else (like applesauce or sweet potatoes) and he does just fine, but when I go back to the rice cereal he goes right back to the grunting at me and spitting it out. My concern is that he'll be missing out on key nutrients if he doesn't eat his rice cereal... Thoughts or suggestions??? Any other moms or dads deal with this with their baby??? Thanks in advance!
