No real difference, but as a newborn, they go through between 8 and 12 diapers daily.

Actually I would say it's a few less than the above, I would say 6-8 a day, but allow (when buying) for about 10 a day. As they get older you will be looking at about 4 a day, 1 over night and 3 during the day.

Having a girl doesn't make any difference to start with, however boys are generally known for being harder to potty train and for wetting the bed to an older age, although my son was trained at 14-15 months and dry at night from about 18-20 months, I guess I was lucky there!

Girls are easier/quicker (generally) to train...

I would also recommend going nappy-less for as much as possible during the day, cos you can guarantee that if you take one off and put a new one on they will dirty it, so leave it off if you can sometimes. Fresh air also helps prevent nappy (diaper) rash :)

Well newborns tend to urinate every few hours. So you could schedule diaper changes with feeding times. So to answer a specific # it would be around 8-12 per 24 hours.

At least 8-12 diapers a day! Could be more, newborns tend to pee just as you are fastening the new diaper :)

5-25 lol, sorry not very narrowed down. I once had to change my daughter 5 times in one changing. Newborn babies are very unpredictable you have days where they might not poop at all and then you have days that they poop every time they move a finger. Then its alwas nice when you are changing there butt and you get her all nice and clean and then you lift up her butt to put the new diaper under her and just as your hand goes under her butt she decides to pee and it trickles down all over the clean diaper and then you have to do it all over again.

For the first few weeks, we were going through up to 20 per day. Of course, every time the baby started crying we'd freak out and change his diaper...

My baby is breastfead and she poops with almost every feeding. She eats about every 2-3 hours. There is not time for just wet diper changes.

LOTS !

My first (a boy) used about 15-18 each day.
My second (a girl) used about 25 - 30 every day - she was just a constant pee-er !
My third (another boy) - is using about 16 or so each day now.
