When I was in labor with my daughter,we didn't realize she was stuck so I kept pushing to no avail and she ended up being delivered by c-section.When she was out, she had a red mark across her forehead-apparently her sweet little forehead had been pressed up against my pelvic bone the entire time! She just turned 1, and the mark has diminished greatly but is still visible. Her pediatrician said it was "fat necrosis"-in other words, the fat cells in her forehead skin were pressed down and "died off" in that place on her forehead. She said she did not know if it would ever go away entirely or not, nor did she seem to think there would be any cream that would help either. 1) Has anyone ever experienced this with their child and what happened? and 2) Based on your own medical opinion, is there anything topical that would *pretty much* guarantee diminishing or erasing it? (It looks like just a whitish little place on part of her forehead- visible more at certain angles.) Thank you so much! :)

My 11 plus pound son was born with several marks like that, and the Dr. said because of his size it caused a kind of bruising coming through the birth canal. His marks were light reddish in color, and lasted quite a few years after his birth, but eventually they faded. Now he's a very handsome young man, with no discernible marks on his face. I don't know of any topical cream for something like that, but if you think it's too unsightly, have you considered consulting a dermatologist? I know some discolorations can be eliminated by laser treatment. If it's not too bad, I would leave it be for now, and have it removed later if it doesn't fade on it's own.

Try Mederma for kids. It gets rid of scars like from cuts and falls pretty well, but I don't know if it would work from this. It's worth a try if u really want to get rid of it. Note, results are not immediate. U probably have to try for like a month or something. Also, Coco butter and St. Ives collagen elastin might work. They get rid of stretch marks.

i would just get some very good Vitamin E Oil- dont go to the CVS or Walgreens ( they have lots of fillers) go to an herb or vitamin shop. keep it moist. vitamin e helps remove scars and stretch marks so possibly help this..it wouldnt hurt her anyway.
