He just doesn't see him enough! If he would spend more time with your son he would get used to him!

That's very normal for that age - their memory is shorter and if he doesn't see his daddy for a while, his memory has faded. Your husband needs to win him over every time until he grows out of this phase - leave the two of them together - your husband should read him stories or play with him with favorite toys and spend some quality time re-bonding with the baby every time. Eventually he'll grow into a phase where he's ECSTATIC to see daddy each time. Reassure your husband it's just a phase and to be patient. Men tend to find it a bit more difficult to relate to babies and do better when their children are old enough to speak. My husband, though he adores our daughter, definitely began to relate better to her once they could talk together.

No unless you husband wants to find another job and stay home more. your baby has separation anxiety at this age and sorry I hate to say it but people that your baby doesn't see everyday they will tend to shy away of. Maybe video tape your husband talking or singing to the baby and play it for the baby everyday while your husband is away so he can see and hear daddy everyday. And be more familiar with his face and voice.

I know this situation. My oldest was fear full of me for his 1st year of life. I worked 65-70 hours a week back then so I was like a stranger to him! A new job with more reasonable hours cured that! Good Luck! :-)=
