My daughter is almost a year and we took her to the E.R. last night because she had been projectile vommitting for a few hours. The doctor said to make sure that she was getting enough fluids but was not concerned because she was not running a fever and was still acting "normal". Well, I told him that we had been giving her tylenol for the last couple of days because she was cutting all four of her molars, and was in pain. But you know E.R. Doctors, always in the rush. So today she is still not feeling well, is now running a fever of 102.5 and is wanting to sleep all day, still cant keep anything down---not water, not tylenol, not formula....and just seems to have given up. What should I do? Take her to another E.R? She has a doctor's appt with her pediatrician tomorrow morning at 9 but I really can't stand to see her in anymore pain. Thanks for the help.

My daughter has had a real problem with diaper rash she is 4 months old and her doctor told me to us aquaphor lotion from over the counter. It works but it is $5 for a small tube like what you would keep in your purse. It will clear up her diaper rash in a couple of days then if you don't keep using is everytime I change her it comes back within a day. I asked her doctor if maybe it was her diapers he said no that it was basicly just real bad dry skin. The aquaphor lotion is 90% petroulem is that the same as using vaseline?

Mom & few elders say, use pre used clothing for the new born for the few days. They say pre used dressed will be soft and will not harm baby's skin. My friends also say the same and willing to share their kids clothing. I personally feel, new born to get new dress. I sure can change my mind if I am wrong. I need more advice please.

Some take it SO personally, and if a question even hints at using formula, they get very self righteous that this mother chose to use formula over breastfeeding..

People use formula for a variety of reasons: They are unable to breastfeed, don't want medication they are on to pass to the baby.

It's a personal choice, so why can't that be respected???
Would you like another mother telling YOU how to raise your kid?

it's a shame mothers simply can't help each other out and answer questions and instead, have to judge a personal decision that they know nothing about.

So please tell me why, knowing nothing about a mother's situation, her baby, etc, you feel the need to press the breastfeeding issue if she has a formula question?

My son is 3 months old and is only eating about 4 oz of formula. He is not really sleeping through the night and i have tried keeping him up but he just gets really sleepy by 8 or 9 (sometimes i can keep him up till 10) but he still wakes up at 1 or 2 no matter what time i put him to bed. Someone suggested its time to introduce cereal. But im worried he is still too young. Ive had lots of problems finding a formula that he is happy with he is now on enfamil nutramigen, but i dont think it is sitting heavy enough on his tummy. Any suggestions please??
