hey everyone,

we aren't pregnant yet but are tossing up some baby names.....we are wanting to start a family and get married in the next 18 months anyway I'm just wondering what you all think of these 2 names....

for a boy: Liam James Malcolm Hardman
for a girl: Sheniqua Heather Patricia Batchelor or Hardman

or any other ideas around the first names provided....this is what we would name our kids in an ideal world but still it's nice to know what others think so please feel free to answer and be honest at the same time.

thanks everyone

or does it not feed during this time. I have been reading what to expect when your expecting and was not aware how long it can take for milk (even colustrum) to be present in the mothers breasts?

My son is 9 months old. I'm just wondering for future reference. When it's time for him to switch to cow's milk, should he already be off the bottle? Or can I let him get used to cow's milk first, then take him off the bottle? Or can I do both at the same time?

My 3 mo. old baby is being breastfed exclusively.
I was hoping that after he became 3 months he would start having some cereal and even some babyfood. But pediatrician recomended to continue exclusively with breastmilk until he is 6 mo.
I just want to know why?? what are the benefits of this?

She has been having screaming fits that have been getting worse every day. She is three weeks old and I have been breastfeeding as well as formula feeding her. (Enfamil A+) She now has diahrea and there was some blood in it today. (Not a lot) We've stopped giving her the formula and have her on Pedialite and breastmilk. Should I stop nursing her and just pump and save it until the diahrea has cleared? She seems to be in a lot of pain, having stomach cramps and a lot of gas. Has anyone gone through this????

I have always wanted to breastfeed even before i became pregnant. I am now 32 weeks pregnant and my boobs have not grown even a little bit!!! they are definitly not leaking. Do you think i will be able to supply enough breast milk for the baby?
Another question i have is, unfortunatly, i am not with the father, cause well he didnt wanna settle down with just one girl. So in other words he will have him every other weekend. On the weekend he doesnt have him, most likely Saturday and maybe some fridays that my child is gone, is it okay to go out and drink at bars? meaning a few shots and a couple beers.? considering it would be a whole day until i see my child again???

I have been sleeping with my baby blanket for 22 years is there something wrong with me? I love that blanket, I will never let it go, I will continue to sleep with it. I don't feel like there is anything wrong with me sleeping with it. I have to sew it up every once in a while because I don't want it to fall apart. It is dear to me my grandmother made it for me when I was a baby. Its not a small blanket though its big. What do you all think?

Do you have a few minutes? Do you have a: child/few children/baby on the way? What better way to celebrate than to take a survey?

I am working on a graduate study project involving baby accessories and the accessories you buy for them! Think strollers, and all the things you attach to them (drink holders, baskets, etc...) The project is for a design class that focuses on one aspect of children's needs.

The survey itself will take between 5 and 10 minutes. Responses will be viewed only by me, but the general results will be shared with my class of 8.

If you, or anyone you know, has/had/will have a child, please take a few minutes and fill out a quick questionaire. All responses are very much appreciated!

I am certain that he will reach the 22 pound limit before he is a year old and ready for a foward facing seat. It would be nice to use the same carseat base we have for the Snugride because we own two, one for each car. Any suggestions?

My son is nearly 40 lbs. and only 12 months old. He is very long also, but he is very chubby. Last time I went to the doctor at his 8 month checkup he said "he's just a big guy". But now even my Mom is commenting on how large he is and thinks that I should wean him from the breast because she thinks I should monitor the amount he's eating. He barely eats solids now.

I thought that you couldn't overfeed a breastfed baby. But everyone seems to think that I'm somehow doing something wrong. Has anyone ever had an extremely chubby breastfed baby??

She was running a 101 fever today. She had tubes put in her ears on Monday. Today she would not eat and at lunch she was sitting there like something was wrong when the babysitter went to go check on her my babys arm was stiff and cold and jerking and her fingers was drawing up. I took her to the DR. and he said her fever was 102.6 and one of her ears was a little red again. But the stuff about her arm was nothing to worry about. I'm not so sure about that. Do you think her potassim(?) may be low?

My 1 week old baby seems to favor his ride side. When he is in his stroller or his car seat he always leans to the right. I try to correct his head and he just goes right back to the same position. Does anyone else have this issue or heard of this. Is it his neck muscles developing??? I'm concerned. I told the doctor but he said his spine is straight.

He's 1 month old and he requires us to rock him to sleep at night. I don't know how the heck we got to this dang point. I just want to be able to put him down in his crib and he'll just fall asleep. I've tried just letting him cry it out but OMG! he never ends! he'll just cry and never fall alseep.

Any advise??
