my husband was talking to me about his freinds leaving the 10 month old baby home alone while they dropped my husband off at work, i dont think thats right at all (the baby was asleep). but then he said i do it too but i dont really do THAT. i live in apartments and a few times in the past i have walked nextdoor to borrow a marker or to ask a quick question but never drove off without the baby, i dont liek taking him out in the cold. its very cold here. should i stop doing that or do you think its normal?

what toys can they play with at this age? He seems not interested in his baby mobile and cries if i put him on his play mat.

My husband and I have just gotten over a stomach flu that we picked up from our son. We both got over ours within 24 hours and we've been clear of it for over 48 hours, but our son has had diarrhea for about 4 days now with no other symptoms. We sanatize everything before and after our son comes into contact with it and we are washing our hands constantly to prevent passing it to each other or to him again. Otherwise our son is fine. Are we past the contagious stage yet?

My daughter has been waking up about 3 to 4 hours after she goes to bed. I know its night terrors. She wakes up screaming and when eather me or my husband go in, her eyes are dialated and she is looking wildly around the room like she does not recognise us. Its like she is still in a dream. Is there anything we can do about it? We were told she was too young for medication and to keep her on a schedule. So far its not really worked.

In the past few days, my daughter (5 months), doesn't make sound when she cries. Like she's loosing her voice. It sounds so sad.

She has NOT had a cold, fever, runny nose..or anything else. And she hasn't been crying any ore than usual.

And please don't waste your breath and tell me to "See the pediatrician" It's saturday, they are closed untill Monday, and it's not an emergency so I won't have the doctor on call paged.

Can anyone help?

She use to sleep through the night and maybe wake up and whine and i would have to go give her her binkey, but now its like bloody murder screaming and i have to pick her up for her to stop. I tried last nite just letting her cry it out but it lasted 20 mins of screaming crying and i gave up, i dunno what else to do! She use to be such a good sleeper! I hope its just a phase!
