My son's crib broke and he is nine months old. I was wondering if I should buy him a new crib, or get him a toddler bed. Personally, I think he is too young(he just started to crawl). What do you folks think I should do.

My concern would be that he would not be able to get in and out of the bed. Or end up falling out of the bed.
I put my daughter in a toddler bed the first time she climbed over the side of the crib. She was 18months.

way too young for a toddler bed get a new crib if you need to or if you can't afford a new one look in the paper or at good will or salvation army lots of cribs also double as a toddler bed also with just a little switching around of some of the rails and stuff the crib that mt friend gave to me is also able to convert to a double size head and foot board so put your honey in a crib untill he's at least two and than use side rails untill he's use to it good luck

Personally, I would go to a used baby store and get a crib. Or go on eBay or Craig's list or something like that. He is only going to be in there for about 16 more months. And they will be a lot cheaper than buying a new one.
My daughter was about 2 and 1/2 when I put her in a actual twin bed. She didn't even go to a toddler bed. But she never fell out of it. I kept her crib up in her room for about six mos with her stuffed animals in it that way she would know that her crib just didn't up and leave her like her bottles did. (she never got into the passi)
Good Luck

Nine months is too young for toddler bed, better get a good used crib. I put my kids in beds when they started to climb out of crib. Just a note, when Bun Bun suggested a sticker sheet I am sure she meant sheet of paper. I first thought stickers in the bed and then pictured a child picking the sticker and placing in their mouth. You may not have thought that but just in case...

in my opinion 9 months is way to young. We switched my daughter to a toddler bed when she started climbing out of her crib at about 2 and a half years. We were afraid she was going to hurt herself by climbing out of the crib.

my son was in his crib until he was almost 3. He never bothered to climb out. He did get a toddler bed that Christmas and began using it. I think at 9 months your going to need another crib. Try ebay or yard sales. Good luck.

Toddlers should be around 3 because 2 in my opinion are still little and should be in a crib. If the toddler doesnt like the bed start a sticker sheet, so if he, she lays in his bed and be;s good he gets a sticker. And once there are all of the stickers, go and get the toddler alittle toy.

I think nine months is too young for a toddler bed, my daughter was closer to three before we switched her to a bed.

I think you should probably get another crib. You might be able to get something pretty reasonably priced on Craigs List.

He should be in a crib until he can crawl out.

Get a convertible crib and then you don't need to worry about buying another bed

My son was 14 months old. The youngest they should be is 12 months. You know when there ready when they can crawl out of the crib.
