This has to be a joke. I mean, no one can be this disgusting, rude, and prickish...can they? Everyone has pretty much said exactly what I thought when I read this question. If this is for real, you need to get on your knees and thank GOD your girlfriend actually tolerates you.

Let me tell you my storry
I am having my baby in two weeks. I gained 50 pounds so far . .I know that I look terrible and I feel terrible as well. My husband doesnt really have sex with me anymore although he says I am still beautiful I know he dislikes my new body. But guess what? There's a baby inside of me and I had to cary it for nine months. I had to go thru all that discomfort and pain and I do deserve some rest. So after I have this baby I will start exercise when I feel like it. And trust me it wont be after 6 or 8 weeks. I will have an infant to take care of. I will have to keep the house look normal ... honestly there is no way I'll even want to have sex.
My advice to you: Give her time. Dont you think that she knows that her body isn't perfect? Do you actually think that she doesnt hate it? I am sure she does but there isn't much she can do right now. Just ... dont be such a jerk and try to understand ....

OMG what an a** you are! At 6 weeks she does not have the energy to exercise... just enough to take care of YOUR child. and somehow (I'm assuming) she already has the energy to let you "hit that"...you shouldn't ask any more of her! It takes AT LEAST 6 months to lose the extra weight from pregnancy. probably more like 9-12 months. You're so lucky you still have a girlfriend! Be nice.... I wasn't happy with my body after giving birth, and if my boyfriend had even looked at me funny I would have kicked his butt out! BE NICE! compliment her! don't you dare say anything bad about her appearance! jerk.

The day you have carried a baby for 9 months, had your stomach stretched beyond your wildest dreams, pushed the equivalent of a basketball through the eye of a needle, from your most intimate parts, had your hormones play emotional rollercoaster with you, look in the mirror and not really recognise your 'new' body, and have to contend with an ****** like you, that my dear, that is the day you are allowed to suggest to the mother of your child that she should exercise.

Next time YOU give birth tell us how easy it is to get back into shape quickly. It takes nine to ten months to be pregnant...then the body has to take at least two to four months to heal properly...Maybe when YOU get an optorectosis (surgery where a window is implanted in abdomen so that people who walk aroudn with their heads up their butts all day can see where they are going) she will start loosing the baby weight...and hopefully for her sake YOU as well.

Try waiting 6 months before you even go about it. Chances are that your girlfriend already has image-issues about her body-- The last thing she needs is her boyfriend making her feel worse.
If you feel like you must go about it right now, try inviting her on activities to get her active. If it's a nice day, ask if she wants to go on a walk. Encourage her to eat healthy by cutting up a plate of fruit and not buying the chips (more of an action...don't tell her what to eat).
The best way to help her is by keeping your mouth shut, asking if she wants to do fun (and active) activities, and by helping out more around the house. 6 weeks? She's still recovering from giving birth--she's no where near her pre-pregnancy energy.
And, FYI, it takes most women up to a year to lose the weight. I gained 40 lbs with my pregnancy, it'll be a year next week that my son was born, and I still have 10 lbs to lose! It'll take your girlfriend's body up to 2 years even to be "officially" ready to get pregnant again!

You sound like a real jerk! I think she should dump you and find a real man! She just carried your child for 9 months and gave birth. I would like to see you try that. Oh, I wish God had made men to bear children. Strap a ***n watermelon to your stomach and try carrying it around for 9 months straight. I wish I knew your girlfriend, I would tell her what a loser you are!

If you were so concerned about her body you should not have made a baby with her in the first place. Grow up, and you don't deserve to "hit that" anyways.

with you saying things like that i'd be suprised if you ever get anywhere near her ever again. it takes more than six weeks for a woman to even begin to feel like doing anything after having a baby. she's sleep deprived, probably feeling pretty ovewhelmed, and most likely just wanting to spend time with her new child. you should be more supportive of her. she'll do things AT HER OWN PACE!!!!
